Amal Clooney proves that she know how to dress down like “one of the girls” when she’s not working, and paid a visit to George on the Wall Street set of his movie “Money Monster.” George plays an unctuous financial advisor on TV taken hostage by a young man who took his advice and lost all his money. Surprisingly, it’s not a comedy, it’s a dramatic thriller. Amal brought their cute dogs along for the visit.

Amal Clooney is probably the only lawyer in the world who is followed relentlessly by paparazzi. It’s not due to her considerable accomplishments, but to her striking looks and famous husband. At least she always has a pleasant look on her face and doesn’t seem disturbed by the attention. We like that.

George Clooney held on tight to his beautiful wife Amal so she wouldn’t slip on the icy sidewalk in her high heels on their way into a New York restaurant. We don’t believe any of those stories about the Clooney marriage being on the rocks. It’s all tabloid speculation. If they don’t have any real news about the Clooneys, the magazines have to make something up. Amal just made plans to lecture at Columbia University while George is filming in movie in New York.

Amal Alamuddin Clooney, 36, and her husband George have more to chat about at the dinner table than most celebrity couples. She is currently working with another attorney to free a Canadian journalist unfairly imprisoned in Egypt for aiding terrorists. Amal has been named #4 on the 10 Most Influential Londoners list. And she manages to look great at Heathrow airport, returning from a business conference in Geneva.

Bill Murray looks delighted with his own sartorial splendor at the NY premier of “St Vincent.” He’s getting great reviews for the comedy and we are eager to see it. This morning Bill was on the Today show talking about his experience at George Clooney’s wedding. He said that George and his bride Amal are a good match and that SHE is surprisingly funny. He cracked “Amal is the funniest Lebanese since Danny Thomas!”

Our brilliant friend Linda Stasi at the New York Daily News wrote a hilarious analysis comparing the Clooney/Alamuddin wedding to the Kanye/Kardashian wedding. Both ceremonies involved Hollywood celebrities and took place in Italy, but that’s where the similarity ends. Stasi pointed out in many ways how opposite the taste level was in both events. For example: “One bride posed with her entourage looking like escaped strippers from The Hustler Club. Has anybody else noticed how much Amal Alamuddin has EVOLVED since she started dating George Clooney? She was always attractive, but never seemed terribly confident about her looks or obsessed with fashion. She was a busy, slightly frazzled lawyer. This wedding weekend she appeared in multiple fabulous outfits and always looked devastating. Now she’s a world class beauty. We suspect George has a team of experts that he brings in to prepare his women for special public appearances.

It looks like the Wedding extravaganza of the Century is taking place in Italy, judging by the country’s level of excitement. George Clooney is marrying Amal Alamuddin this weekend at the fancy Cipriani Hotel in Venice. Stores selling souvenirs are already hawking t-shirts and statues (above) of the bride and groom for sentimental fans. The REAL bride and groom looked ravishing as they arrived at the hotel today.

Brits are all aflutter since George Clooney surprised his fiancée Amal Alamuddin with a tour of the Highclere Castle where Downton Abbey is filmed. It’s the only TV series Amal cares about and she was captivated by the private tour. Of course the British papers are now speculating that this will be their wedding venue. The castle and fabulous grounds can be rented for weddings and prices start at $25000 and go WAY up, depending on the frills. It’s predicted that George and Amal will wed in September – a year after they met.
