THE AMAZING STORY OF ANGELINE’S TRUE IDENTITY!

Omigosh! One of the longest lingering mysteries of Hollywood has been solved by Gary Baum at The Hollywood Reporter – NOT The National Enquirer! The REAL identity of billboard pinup icon Angelyne has been uncovered and it’s more fascinating than one could imagine! Angelyne was born Renee Goldberg, she grew up in the San Fernando Valley, and attended Monroe High School. (The photo below is her class picture in 1967.) She was the daughter of Polish Jews who survived concentration camps and emigrated to Israel and ended up in the Fairfax district in Los Angeles before moving to the valley. She had a short marriage to the son of a Beverly Hills executive who described her as a “gorgeous redhead” in those days. After that she invented her new self. Angelyne and her longtime assistant/friend Scott Hennig (pictured above) resisted all inquiries about her beginnings and identity change. Click HERE to read the entire captivating story!

Halloween parties are all over the place in Hollywood and Derek Hough posted this photo from last night on Twitter. We’re not sure who everybody in the photo is, but Derek is the Jedi in the middle, and Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough are Bonnie and Clyde. Our favorite costume, however, is Fergie done up in leopard as local billboard pin-up “girl” Angeline. We think Angeline will be flattered.

Angeline Money Rock of Ages

ANGELYNE: A GIRLS GOTTA DO WHAT A GIRLS GOTTA DO

Billboard queen Angeline was spotted cruising the parking lot at Pavilions Market in West Hollywood in her attention seeking Pepto-Bismol pink Corvette. When she got out of her car she opened a pink tinker bell parasol to protect her cleavage from the sun and handed out business cards. The under 30 crowd had no idea who she was, but the older shoppers recognized her from her Hollywood billboards. She opened the trunk of her car and proceeded to sell t-shirts with her picture on them – $20 apiece – four styles available! She confided that one of her shirts would be appearing in the Tom Cruise movie “Rock of Ages.” She would ONLY pose for photos for people who bought a shirt.

Billboard queen Angeline once said she didn’t want to be a movie star and really work (she’s lazy,) she just wanted to be famous. After decades of well-placed billboards in Hollywood, she HAS achieved notoriety with a minimum of effort. She can frequently be seen driving around town in her hot pink Corvette, throwing kisses out the window. Since she obviously spent a lot of time on makeup and getting dressed, why does she turn away and run when she sees photographers? She just walked out of a chiropractor’s office in West Hollywood so maybe she doesn’t feel well.

Billboard queen Angeline HATES it when the paparazzi show up to surprise her in Hollywood and she can’t find the keys to her pink Corvette. She rummaged through her Tinker Bell purse and endured the intrusive cameras – awhile back she banned all photos of herself unless they were taken with a Polaroid camera! As if anybody still has one of those. If she really DOESN’T want her photo taken – she might be advised to rethink the pink Corvette.

We never get tired of Angelyne sightings. The billboard queen was snapped at the Malibu Country Mart and she wasn’t happy about it. She flipped open that pink ostrich feather fan and hid behind it. She’s been seen in Malibu a lot lately rather than her usual haunt, the Sunset Strip. Maybe she moved. If you wonder how she makes money, she seems to have a thriving mail-order business. On myspace, where she claims to be 29 years old, she offers autographed panties for sale for $150.

LA Billboard queen Angeline must spend a lot of time getting gussied up to leave the house every day so the least we can do is take photos of her. She shopped for groceries at How’s supermarket in Malibu with feathers in her hair. And she flirted with the guy who helped her carry the bags to her car.

She thinks polaroids are more flattering but, of course, nobody has Polaroid cameras anymore, so Angelyne won’t cooperate with photographers. ANGELYNE: MOVING VIOLATION

Wednesday night commuters were treated to a traffic snarl at Sunset and Cahuenga when billboard queen Angelyne inadvertently caused a two car head-on collision. According to a witness, Angelyne was driving down the street in her Pepto-Bismol pink Corvette with her blond bouffant hair and low cut neckline and as usual everyone was staring. Two drivers gaped SO intently they slammed into each other in the intersection. Angelyne looked concerned and she pulled over to see that happened, causing more of an ogling traffic jam. Amoeba records shoppers poured into the street to watch. Two ambulances and several police cars later the scene was cleared. Never underestimate the power of a pink Corvette.
