Kanye West’s big mouth is NOT increasing his popularity. He’s currently featured with Lady GaGa on her Fame Kills tour and it started out as a 50-50 deal, but his name has been taken off ads and marketing although he IS still performing. Kanye HAS been talking about “taking a vacation” so maybe he won’t do the entire tour – especially since GaGa has proved she can hold her own. Insiders believe that his name was removed because he turns too many people OFF.

Kanye West made a fool of himself again Saturday night at Common’s benefit concert at The Palladium in Hollywood. Here’s the story: Kanye arrived minutes before he was set to go onstage as the last act of a star-studded charity show. Besides Common, Nas, Ludacris, Mos Def, De La Soul, Heavy D, Queen Latifah, and other acts had delighted the crowd. They were all relaxing in the green room when Kanye walked in and noticed a guy eating chicken. He took offense and blurted petulantly “Why wasn’t I offered chicken? It’s NOT FAIR- you want me to perform for free – everyone is eating – WHY AM I NOT EATING!” A waiter apologized and pointed out “You didn’t ask for chicken!” Well, I’m ASKING NOW!! Other celebrities watched Kanye’s loud chicken tantrum in total shock. His girlfriend Amber Rose just stepped back and let him rant. The waiter rushed him a plate of chicken and Kanye literally took ONE bite and dumped it before he grabbed the mic and went onstage, leaving everyone shaking their heads.

How lucky was Jay Leno to have Kanye West booked on the debut of his new show tonight? Conan and Dave must be grinding their teeth. Apparently Kanye was also grateful for the opportunity to apologize for his appalling behavior at the MTV Video awards. It looks like egotistical Kanye was very surprised to find out that other people didn’t agree with his opinion that Beyonce should have won the award that Taylor Swift received. His advisors are frantically pushing him to lay off the obnoxious behavior, but he does love attention. His apologetic appearance should give nervous Jay some extra oomph for opening night.

It was great TV, but our hearts went out to Taylor Swift when numbskull Kanye West butted into her acceptance speech for Best Female Video, grabbed her mic and announced that Beyonce had the best video. Poor Taylor, only 19, was frozen with shock and when the audience started BOOING it was evident for a horrible moment that she feared they were booing HER! Eventually it became apparent that they were booing West and he responded with a rude gesture. We felt bad for the shaken Taylor, but she behaved graciously and this will certainly be the award she never forgets.

Celebrities at Laker games line up to file into the exclusive chairman’s lounge during halftime and Rihanna was in the crowd with Mark Wahlberg. Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey McGuire among others. She had an over-zealous little PR woman or handler yelling at everyone to get out of the way for Rihanna. The bossy woman barreled through the polite line of celebs, pushing them aside and yelling to one and all “Don’t touch her! Don’t look at her! Leave her alone!” P.Diddy attempted to say hello to Rihanna but the woman scolded him, “Don’t talk to her – wait till we get inside!” Even Rihanna cringed.

Ray J hasn’t been in the news for awhile and he decided to drum up some publicity by inviting Whitney Houston to party with him at Villa. The last time Ray made PR waves was in May when TMZ revealed he was kicked out of the Hyatt Regency hotel in DC for rowdiness and having a stash of drugs. Ray blamed it on his entourage and move into a Holiday Inn. No arrest. Ray’s mother Sonja Norwood is suing Kim Kardashian (Ray J’s sex video partner,) claiming that Kim and her sisters charged over a hundred thousand dollars to Sonja’s credit card. Sounds fishy, somehow, doesn’t it? Ironically, this picture seems to show Ray eyeing an attractive girl while Whitney is clutching his waist.

It was inevitable. While Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) has been off in Europe making lots of money with her Ultimo lingerie line and other projects, her con artist husband Stephen “Belafonte” has been getting restless. Stephen and a buddy were at The Rainbow on Sunset on a recent Saturday. First Stephen asked the bartender if he got a ” celebrity discount” because he was married to Mel B, but was turned down, so he had to pay full price for his steak, lobster, appetizers, and wine. Then Stephen turned his attention to the pretty women all around him. He told one “Hey, can I get your number? I’d love to call you and hook up sometime!” One suspicious girl asked “Aren’t you married to a Spice Girl?” and he brushed it off with “It’s okay!” He invited one busty blonde out for coffee the next day. One after another he punched numbers into his FRIEND’S phone. He laughed “I can’t put it in MY phone!” He explained to one girl that his pal would act as a go-between so he could communicate with her. By the time he walked out of the club, the fake Belafonte had five or six numbers clocked into his buddy’s phone. In the parking lot he was seen talking to one MORE girl and punching her number into his friend’s phone. Keep your eyes open, Mel!
