ADD AN “OSCAR WINNER” BARBIE DOLL TO YOUR COLLECTION

She’s been an astronaut, a judge and has done practically everything else but will Barbie now be an Oscar winner? Odds are good since Barbie got 9 nominations for Golden Globes. According to an insider, if Margot Robbie wins an Oscar for playing the iconic doll or the movie happens to win one for best movie or best screenplay, plans are already underway with Mattel to launch a very limited edition “Oscar winner” Barbie. The proceeds will be donated to the Academy’s Film Museum. Limited edition Barbies are very collectible and can sell for a small fortune, so this will be a win-win situation in terms of marketing and for the film museum.

According to a studio insider, executives turned DOWN a lucrative branding deal to feature Barbie on slot machines all around the world. The insider says they didn’t want to tarnish Barbie’s wholesome reputation by associating her with gambling.

Warner Bros and Mattel films have finally put all the pieces together to film their long-awaited Barbie movie. Margot Robbie, 31, is an appropriate choice to star as Barbie in the live-action film. But what about Ryan Gosling as Ken? In this photo, Ryan looks more like a popular bartender at The Abbey than a beach boy from the 1960’s. In spite of his body wax, he has that currently trendy five o’clock shadow. And, of course, Ryan IS 41 years old! Shouldn’t Ken be younger? Harry Styles would be cute in the part, but he has too much personality. Justin Bieber has all the right elements, but too many tattoos… Patrick Schwarzenegger?

IS “THE HUMAN KEN DOLL” MORPHNG INTO BARBIE?

We keep trying, but we cannot keep our eyes off of Rodrigo Alves, the guy with more money than common sense, who aspires to look like a human Ken Doll. Rodrigo was seen rollerblading in Marbella, Spain wearing a waist trainer-cincher with his shorts. This, combined with his hairless anatomically augmented body, makes him look other-worldly. Rodrigo spends a fortune on plastic surgery to look like his idea of the perfect man (Barbie’s boyfriend Ken) but it appears he’s crossing the line and more closely resembling Barbie herself…

TIME FOR A BARBIE DOLL MAKEOVER

Ever wonder what Barbie would like like if she had the body proportions of a normal person? Not half as bad as you think! An artist in the UK, Nickolay Lamm decided to do girls a favor and recreate Barbie with the same measurements as a typical 19 year old girl. The original doll, if human size, would measure 36-18-33. The recreation has average measurements of 32-31-33. And the normal version with the shorter neck somewhat resembles Ryan Seacrest’s exgirlfriend Julianne Hough! Not bad. Perhaps Mattel will take note!
