Benji Madden and Paris Hilton have split up, it’s noteworthy how much weight Benji lost while they were together. The left photo was taken before they started dating and the right photo was taken this week. Maybe breaking up was really devastating for him. If he were a girl, he would be accused of having an “eating disorder.” Even that white shirt doesn’t add any heft.

Paris Hilton has showed her true colors- she chose money over love! The novelty of having a boyfriend who was devoted to her and treated her well wore off because Benji Madden didn’t have enough money. Benji is not exactly broke, but a house in Glendale is not Paris’s dream come true. She likes yachts and private jets and guys who give her diamonds. Paris has found herself a billionaire (It’s NOT Stavros Niarcos) and she won’t be looking back. More details to come. We’re betting Benji’s brother Joel is getting nervous about now because he’s got the same problem with Nicole Ritchie.

Benji Madden forced himself to take Paris Hilton out to Foxtail because she loves clubs way more than he does. (He enjoys clubs when he’s DJing and getting paid for it. Besides, he doesn’t drink. ) Benji does bend over backwards to make her happy. Paris can hardly believe that she’s dating a monogamous rocker who’s devoted to her and doesn’t do drugs. Does anybody else think Benji looks a lot thinner than he used to?

Is Target in West Hollywood the new Ivy? Plenty of celebrities are regulars there and the paparazzi are catching on. Benji Madden and Joan Collins (with husband Percy Gibson) are two examples. You never know who might be pushing that shopping cart next to you in the electronics department. There was a time when you’d never catch a famous person in Target, but the store has achieved an element of chic acceptance.

Times certainly ARE changing. First of all, did you EVER think you’d see Paris Hilton eating at the Hamburger Hamlet? The Hamlet has always been a mecca for families and grandparents. Dependable, but not exactly trendy. She and Benji arrived without fanfare and there were only one or two paparazzi around. And get this, Paris did NOT stop and pose like she always does! Just a few years ago, Paris was trailed by dozens of photographers at all times and she reveled in it. Both sides now seem to be losing interest.

We may be sick of looking at Paris Hilton, but when she appeared at Selfridge’s in London to promote her fragrance, they had to close the crowded street down. Apparently she figured that if she wore a goofy hat like Sarah Jessica Parker she’d get more attention and it worked. The Brits aren’t wild about Benji Madden – one reporter said his tattoos make him look like a burn victim.( Paris definitely has bigger feet than her boyfriend.) In summation, a lot of people stopped to gape at Paris, but perfume sales were reportedly disappointing.

We can’t help but laugh at the latest rumor about publicitymongers Paris Hilton and Benji Madden. They’re currently in Europe where Paris is touring with her so-called boyfriend Benji’s band Good Charlotte and drumming up press for themselves. Apparently there weren’t enough flashbulbs at their last gig so SOMEONE planted the rumor that Paris and Benji got engaged. Naturally, the europress got very excited, looking for a ring. How Paris and Benji keep a straight face through all this is a mystery.
