Bobby Brown looks like a typical suburban dad now, but we remember when he was a hot commodity. We met Bobby years ago at the after-party for the AMA show. That’s when he was riding high with New Edition, but Bobby was really funny, friendly and likeable. So we were not surprised when Whitney Houston fell hard for him. She was almost pathologically jealous of him- she would track him down at a party somewhere and show up and surprise him! (before cellphones) Once we remember him at a party, ducking into a back room looking guilty when word got out that Whitney was at the front door asking for him. He loved her, but he WAS mischievous. Anyway, we bet Bobby’s kids wouldn’t believe that their dad was once a casanova…

BOBBY BROWN IS EARNING MONEY AGAIN

Now that Bobby Brown has been cleared of introducing Whitney Houston to drugs – all is more or less forgiven. Last year’s BET movie The New Edition Story was surprisingly successful and launched the idea of the group touring again. Three of the original New Edition members are already successful as Bell Biv DeVoe, and Bobby Brown has been touring solo, so they put whatever differences they had aside, and joined up – they call the new group RBRM, combining their initials. Bobby Brown, 49, his wife (and manager) Alicia Etheredge, and two of their kids took in the farmer’s market this weekend. Bobby must be very happy since the Whitney Houston documentary revealed that he did NOT introduce his ex Whitney to drugs. For years HE was blamed for her addictions. BOBBY BROWN IS SELLING HIS TELL-ALL BOOK WITH A SIDE OF BBQ SAUCE

Bobby Brown was at the Leimert Park Village Book Fair this weekend signing copies of his sexy tell-all “Every Little Step.” The book is so packed with sexual encounters that the Daily News suggested it should have been titled “Every Little Schtup!” After a sexcapade in a recording studio bathroom, Bobby declared that Madonna was “too wild for me!” In addition to his own affairs, Bobby wrote a lot about his ex-wife Whitney Houston’s drug use and flings with men AND women. Besides books, Bobby was also selling his own BBQ sauce and seasoning at the fair. Who knew he could cook?

BOBBY BROWN LOOKS LIKE HE’S BEEN THROUGH A LOT – AND HE HAS

Bobby Brown is only 46, but he looks years older. He’s had many problems with drugs and alcohol over the years resulting in legal issues. Last year he spent seven months in limbo while his daughter Bobbi Kristina was in a coma. She died in July at the age of 22. Bobby’s new wife Alicia Etheredge coincidentally gave birth to their daughter Bodhi last July. Now Bobby has five living children so he continues to work whenever he can. The sad story of Bobbi Kristina Brown is finally over. Wait a minute- no- it’s definitely NOT over. In fact, the investigation into her opportunistic boyfriend’s involvement is just beginning. Nick Gordon has been accused of roughing Kristina up and stealing her money. Was he involved in her death? We’re guessing that police don’t have a lot of proof or he’d already be charged with something. The autopsy might reveal all. The Browns and the Houstons want justice. BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN: SECOND GENERATION TRAGEDY

Poor little Bobbi Kristina never had a chance at a normal life. Her mother Whitney Houston loved her, but was so deep into drugs that she didn’t know how to be a parent. Bobbi grew up watching her parents get high and make fools of themselves. She traveled with her mother on tour and observed how adored the singer was by fans. The little girl never had a settled normal life. If only she had been sent away to a private school, she might have been fortified against her environment by an education. But no such luck. Kristina grew up yearning to be beautiful and famous like her mother, but she inherited her father’s average looks. It doesn’t look like Bobbi is going to survive this mysterious bathtub drowning and it’s a very sad story. She’s only 21.

Bobby Brown has always been wrongly blamed for introducing Whitney Houston to drugs and his denials have finally been validated. Whitney fans blamed Bobby for her drug-ravaged voice and declining career and eventual death. Finally, Whitney’s older brother Michael has confessed that HE was actually the one who introduced Whitney to drugs and eventually crack cocaine, in the 80’s and she took to it like a duck to water. When Bobby came along, Whitney was delighted to find someone willing to join her in partying with drugs so they had a lot in common. But Whitney was no innocent child before she met Bobby – she was an experienced drug abuser. And it’s about time Bobby was cleared of those accusations.

Alcohol Alicia Etheridge Bobby Brown Drugs Rehab Seizure

BOBBY BROWN’S SHOW MUST GO ON, DESPITE WIFE’S “SEIZURE”

The fact that his wife Alicia Etheridge was hospitalized after having a seizure doesn’t bode well for Bobby Brown’s recovery. Despite her hospitalization, Bobby performed that same night with The New Edition at a Florida resort. (He obviously wasn’t too worried.) Keep in mind, just a few days ago, he checked out of rehab himself after only three weeks of treatment. In spite of his apparent alcoholism (DUI included) Alicia married Bobby ten weeks ago. Since seizures often indicate substance abuse, it looks like Bobby has another problematic wife. His ex-wife Whitney Houston famously died from a drug overdose. People seem to keep marrying the same person, don’t they?
