SACHA BARON COHEN HAS THE LAST TWEET

Sacha Baron Cohen’s new Amazon movie Borat Subsequent Movie Film infuriated Donald Trump who tweeted, calling Sacha “a creep who tried to scam me!” Sacha tweeted a thank you to the President for the free publicity and offered him a job, indicating that he was “always looking for people to play racist buffoons in his films -and “you’ll need a job after January 20!” Yesterday Sacha rescinded the offer, tweeting “I know I offered you a job- but your performance this past week (Twitter flagged Trump for false information) was so tragic that I take back the offer!” Sacha can next be seen in The Trial of the Chicago 7.

BORAT IS BACK FROM KAZAKHSTAN

Those of you who are distressed at the idea of Keeping Up with the Kardashians wrapping in two years are in for a pleasant surprise. While you were busy fretting over Kim and Kanye, Sacha Baron Cohen has been furtively filming a new Borat movie! In the new one, Borat supposedly thinks the 2006 film made him famous, and he’s now a recognizable celebrity. He’s forced to wear disguises to continue his interviews and investigations of American culture. Sacha has been spotted secretly filming in a few odd places in the US, and now the movie is finished and ready to release (on HBO? HULU?) If it’s HALF as funny as the first one, we’ll be happy!

IS IT JOE JONAS – OR SON OF BORAT?

NOW we see why Joe Jonas’s fans were so agitated by his appearance at the MTV Video Awards. That mustache is just getting bigger and bushier – causing some fans to compare him to a 70’s pornstar – or Tom Selleck or Alex Trebeck. Joe wants to put his Disney history far behind him – but this isn’t the best way to do it. Yet, he’s managed so far to hold on to his cute girlfriend, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, in spite of the unpleasant facial hair. And his band DNCE seems to welcome any fashion experimentation efforts he indulges in.

SACHA BARON COHEN IS BACK – IN ACTION!

When Sacha Baron Cohen released his new film The Brothers Grimsby in London, he joked that he cast two black actors in the movie because he has “no desire to win an Oscar.” The movie is about a dimwitted football hooligan, (Cohen) who discovers his long-lost brother (Mark Strong) happens to be a highly successful secret agent. Circumstance force the brothers to join forces in a twisted action-adventure. Cohen’s hapless small-town character lives with Rebel Wilson and they have 11 children. Sounds like fun to us!

PICTURE THIS: ALI G INTERVIEWING DONALD TRUMP!

Sacha Baron Cohen was snapped arriving for his appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show tonight and we couldn’t help but notice a faint resemblance (glasses and cap) to his first hilarious character Ali G. Maybe, just maybe, Sacha intends to revive that dumb hip hop character on British TV who “interviewed” and fooled so many serious politicians a few years ago. The politicians squirmed and tried desperately to be socially correct and polite despite Ali’s outrageous comments. How great would it be to have Ali G interview Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders!!!

DID SACHA BARON COHEN GET HIS WISH?

Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen’s wife Isla Fisher just gave birth to their third child today and so far they’re keeping the baby’s gender a secret! They have two daughters, Olive, 7, and Elula, 4, and were hoping for a little boy this time. We have a feeling it’s another girl or they’d be shouting it from the rooftops, but you never know – these two can be very secretive.

BORAT STYLE HOLLYWOOD PRANK FOOLED ACTRESSES

Borat started it all. Recently a casting call in LA was posted on the Actors Access website for young actresses to audition for a role in a feature film called “May The Best Man Win.” Dozens of earnest young women showed up for the audition and were horrified by what they were asked to do. Some of the women were asked to perform in blackface, and others, to impersonate Adolf Hitler and shout Nazi propaganda. It was a moral dilemma. What they didn’t realize is that it was a prank casting session inspired by Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat movie. One of the producers of Borat is involved. According to the LA Times, the girls were being pranked for the $800,000 low budget comedy “May The Best Man Win” about two guys who try to outdo each other with wild stunts. Hoping for a film role, the girls were disappointed, but many opted to sign a release for a $50 cash payment. Producers didn’t apologize – they said other pranks in the movie are MUCH worse.

BORAT OR MILEY CYRUS: WHO WORE IT BETTER?

Obviously Miley Cyrus did, but it is a inexplicable choice of apparel. If she’s trying to get her estranged fiancée Liam Hemsworth’s attention, this might not be the best plan. But her hair looks amazing.

YOU’LL NEVER GUESS WHO THE HIGHEST PAID ENGLISH ACTOR IN HOLLYWOOD IS!

Nope, it’s not “Lincoln” star Daniel Day-Lewis, OR “Twilight” heartthrob Rob Pattinson- the top earner is Sacha Baron Cohen. Last year the Borat star raked in 33 million dollars – and he out-earned Brad Pitt and Tom Hanks. Above, he was last seen in Les Miserables with Helena Bonham Carter.

THE DICTATOR SHOULD HAVE TRIED HARDER

Readers already know that we at JCH are huge fans of Sacha Baron Cohen and Borat. In fact, we consider Borat the funniest movie we’ve EVER SEEN. (And Ali G is a favorite TV character.) That said, we viewed The Dictator with high expectations. The idea of an egocentric North African dictator loose in New York is a marvelous concept. And some of the movie was very entertaining. There were brilliantly funny lines, like when the misogynistic Dictator met a pregnant woman and remarked “Are you having a boy or an abortion?” Political satire like that makes the comedy worth seeing – it’s too bad there’s so much sophomoric slapstick in between the smart moments. Die-hard Cohen fans will enjoy the film, along with teenage boys, but it could have been better.
