BRET MICHAELS: THE STRUGGLE TO MAINTAIN THE GLAM

Bret Michaels’ name came up today when a woman who had appeared on a reality show with him talked about her experience. We asked about that scarf on his head that he never takes off and she said no one on the Rock of Love show EVER saw him without it. Everybody assumed that he is self-conscious about his fake hair and wants to make sure it isn’t pulled off. He even wears that scarf UNDER hats! She also said Bret, 51, puffed up his lips with injections before the show taped and wore shiny lip gloss. “Kissing him was like kissing a girl” she said. We’re thinking that Bret’s vanities – along with that fake tan- are due to the fact that his band Poison was originally a “glam metal” band and he feels the need to remain glamorous.

“CELEBRITY APPRENTICE” IS MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE THAT “DANCING WITH THE STARS” MADE

It turns out Brett Michaels was the first one fired on All-Star Celebrity Apprentice because Donald Trump didn’t want him back as a contestant! Since Bret had already won, Donald wanted him back as a judge. But according to RadarOnline, Bret knew he could make more money as a contestant if he lasted a few weeks and insisted on competing. Donald retaliated by firing him the first chance he got, but it didn’t cause a ratings surge. Ratings have not been impressive this season and we thought that producers should have learned a lesson from the Dancing With The Stars All–Star version that bombed. Once viewers have seen how the celebrities dance or act up on Apprentice, there’s no reason to watch them again. No surprises!

We can’t say we’re really surprised that Poison singer Bret Michaels’ girlfriend of eighteen years, Kristi Gibson, has called the engagement. She’s put up with his rockstar ego and all his health crises through the years and they have two daughters together. He proposed on his reality show in 2010, and it looks like he never bothered to follow through after the show was cancelled. Personally, we would have a hard time living with that headscarf and fake hair and those ever present two fingers….

There’s more to this than meets the eye. Before Tish Cyrus took up with Bret Michaels, she had other dalliances! Apparently she felt neglected by her husband Billy Ray and she was a cougar on the prowl for action. She’s even rumored to have targeted a good-looking paparazzi who was following her daughter Miley. Tish invited the guy into her house and arranged all sorts of photo ops for him while flirting outrageously. No wonder Miley is having a hard time handling this split. Bret Michaels looks perfectly happy and healthy in New York with his kids Raine, 10, (the one that turned out NOT to have diabetes) and Jorja, 5, along with their mother Kristi Lynn Gibson. Brett and Kristi have been off an on for years – right now they’re definitely ON, but have no plans to wed. We wonder how Kristi felt while Bret was romancing those skanky groupies on “Rock of Love.” We still think Bret stole the Celebrity Apprentice title from more deserving Holly Robinson just by drumming up sympathy for his “illnesses.”

DONALD’S A DUNCE: WHY HOLLY ROBINSON PEETE SHOULD HAVE WON CELEBRITY APPRENTICE

Donald Trump miserably failed to show his usual sense of logic when he anointed Bret Michaels as winner of Celebrity Apprentice. He flat out admitted that he chose Michaels not because he deserved the title, but because of the “pity factor.” When Bret started on the show he was best known for being an obnoxious rock star on “Rock of Love Bus,” so viewers were pleasantly surprised when he seemed likeable. However his incessant whining about having diabetes and fearing that his daughter did also (she doesn’t – but seeing his histrionics must have given her a good scare) started the “poor little me” ball rolling. Bret’s subsequent real life health problems were widely publicized and perhaps exaggerated, who knows? He “bravely” dragged himself to the finale, and already had a week of TV appearances booked. Everyone in that boardroom admitted he won because they felt SORRY for him, not because of his achievements. Holly raked in record breaking amounts of money for her charity, and showed clearheaded leadership throughout – SHE WAS ROBBED!

Bret Michaels Celebrity Apprentice Hospital Rock Of Love

“CELEBRITY APPRENTICE” CHANGED EVERYTHING FOR BRET MICHAELS

We had no shortage of reasons NOT to like Bret Michaels. His arrogant self-indulgent rock star reputation, that revolting “Rock of Love” show, that hat/fake hair situation on his head, and his endless whining on “Celebrity Apprentice” about his diabetes and his daughter’s diabetes. At the same time, on “Apprentice” he showed himself to be a more likeable, hard-working decent guy. So when he suffered the brain hemorrhage, we had already started to like him a LITTLE and really felt bad for him and hope he’s all right. Was this caused by that head-bang at the Tony Awards? At this point he has slurred speech and blurred vision and it hasn’t improved. It doesn’t sound good, but hopefully, he will recover.
