BRIGITTE NIELSEN: IT’S A LONG STORY

Against all odds, Brigitte Nielsen is living happily ever after. Back in the 80’s she was a hot commodity- she started out as a model and landed the leading role in Red Sonja with Arnold Schwarzenegger. In 1985 they had a fling during filming and the next year she married Arnold’s rival (her Cobra costar) Sylvester Stallone. After a total of four husbands and four sons she confessed she had an alcohol problem and entered rehab. Fast forward to 2006 – she married cute (fifteen years younger) Italian waiter Mattia Dessi. She struggled with infertility until she miraculously became pregnant at 55, and gave birth to daughter Frida, now 4. Brigitte and Mattia are still married and living with Frida in Palm Springs.

FLAVOR FLAV ‘S LOVE LIFE MIGHT SURPRISE YOU

Some people never change. Case in point: Flavor Flav, formerly of Public Enemy. We remember him best from the reality series The Surreal Life, where he developed some kind of romance with Brigitte Nielsen, who is 6 inches taller than he is. VH1 liked their odd relationship so much that Brigitte and Flav got their own reality show called Strange Love. What surprised us most about Flavor Flav is the fact that he actually used to date model Beverly Johnson back in 2000, and they actually LIVED together. And he didn’t look much different than he does above!

BRIGITTE NIELSEN: THEY SAID IT WOULDN’T LAST

Observers were doubtful, to say the least, when Red Sonja star Brigitte Nielsen, who happens to be 6’1,” took up with Italian bartender Mattia Dessi, who stands 5’6.” He’s also 15 years younger than she is. But not only has their unlikely marriage lasted 16 years, but they had a baby last year. The couple endured over 10 years of in vitro fertilizations, but Brigitte finally gave birth, at 54, to a baby girl named Frida. Brigitte already has four grown sons from other relationships. Above, they enjoyed an afternoon at the Farmer’s Market.

BRIGITTE NEILSEN AND SOME OF HER MEN

Brigitte Neilsen, 55, and her husband Mattia Dessi, 39, and her son Douglas Meyer, 25, had lunch together in Beverly Hills. Douglas is her son with her fourth husband Raoul Meyer – she has three other grown sons. In June, Brigitte gave birth to her first daughter, Frida, with her current husband of fourteen years, Mattia. She speaks several languages, so Brigitte has made quite a living doing reality shows in the US, Italy, Germany, and Denmark. Brigitte, Mattia and Frida are currently living in Palm Springs.

AGAINST ALL ODDS, BRIGITTE NIELSEN IS STILL HAPPILY MARRIED!

Sylvester Stallone still winces when the subject of his two year marriage (in 1985) to Brigitte Nielsen is brought up. He chalks up their relationship to “a temporary form of insanity.” We remember Brigitte shopping like a madwoman on Rodeo Drive, buying everything in sight and charging it all to Stallone. It drove Stallone crazy. The 6’1” Red Sonja actress did a few movies and became a reality star in the early 2000’s. Who can forget Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew or her fling with Flavor Flav? Brigitte, 53, has been married to her fifth husband Mattia Dessi, 38, for ten years now and last we heard, they’re living in Palm Springs.

BRIGITTE NEILSEN OWES A LOT TO REALITY SHOWS

Brigitte Neilsen might be the queen of all reality shows. When her acting career slowed down in the early 2000’s, she signed up for almost every reality show that came along – starting with Celebrity Big Brother and The Surreal Life. At this time she had a horrific ‘”romance” with Flavor Flav. She appeared on Celebrity Rehab for alcohol abuse. The 6’!” glamazon was also a regular on countless European reality shows. The most interesting one was a German show that gave her a complete plastic surgery makeover in 2008 so she could look as young as her husband, who is 15 years her junior. (Above she’s at a Beverly Hills restaurant greeting her fans.)

FISTS FLY BETWEEN ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER AND SYLVESTER STALLONE

The trailer for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone’s movie “Escape Plan” features the two aging action heroes in a knock-down drag-out fight. It’s something they’ve probably both been waiting to do for decades. These guys were once extremely competitive. Stallone found success first and he had the nerve to offer upcoming Arnold a small part in one of his movies playing his mentally challenged brother. Arnold was irritated and at the peak of his popularity would occasionally joke about Stallone – he thought Sly had terrible taste in clothes. Don’t forget Arnold also had a fling with Sly’s wife Brigitte Nielsen before Sly met her. Sly seethed when he heard Arnold’s wisecracks and he got revenge by PAYING an author to write a scathing biography of Arnold which described his father as a Nazi. Eventually the two rivals called a truce aand now in their maturity, they’re buddies as you can see.

Brigitte Nielsen wants the world to see that she’s in much better shape than she was the last time we saw her – which was in August when she was photographed rolling around on the grass in a Beverly Hills park with a bottle of liquor in her hand – almost looking like a vagrant. At the time, we wondered if it was a stunt to get herself booked on another rehab reality series. Most of her income comes from reality shows of some kind. Four months later she appeared (above) at an award show in Paris looking slightly Asian.

IS BRIGITTE NIELSEN ANGLING FOR A FREE RIDE TO CELEBRITY REHAB?

Sylvester Stallone’s amazonian exwife Brigitte Nielsen, 49, is one of the queens of reality TV, and right now she’s between shows. She appeared on Dr Drew’s Celebrity Rehab in 2008 and walked out appearing sober. Besides the US, Brigitte has done many shows in Europe including “Dancing With the Stars,” most recently winning “I’m a Celebrity …Get Me Out Of Here!” in Germany in January. If her behavior in an LA park this week is any indication, she’s trying to get another rehab gig. The six foot Danish model was seen smoking and guzzling vodka out of a bottle, looking disoriented and staggering around a public park. No sign of her young Italian husband Mattie Dessi, with whom she was living in Palm Springs. Is this a ploy to land another Intervention or Rehab show? Or the real thing?

He’s way more interested in texting. You’d think she’d be the bored one, considering this is her fifth husband. Ironically, her maid of honor was Ivana Trump.
