We almost didn’t recognize Brooke Shields in her black wig as she took her daughters Rowan, 6, and Grier, 3, trick or treating on Halloween in New York. We like the fact that she gets into the spirit of the moment and has fun with her kids. Recently Brooke admitted in an interview that she didn’t lose her virginity until she was 22 – and regrets that it didn’t happen sooner!

Mary Tyler Moore is playing Brooke Shields’ mother in an episode of “Lipstick Jungle” now filming in New York. Mary looks surprisingly good – especially since The Enquirer claims she’s losing her sight. Sorry, but “Lipstick Jungle” will never fill the gap left by “Sex & the City.”

We bet that when Chris Henchy was in high school he never imagined he’d marry the head cheerleader. But this ordinary guy accomplished even more – he ended up with the Blue Lagoon dreamgirl Brooke Shields. She’s now starring on the new series “Lipstick Jungle.” Way to go, Chris.

BROOKE SHIELDS: PAMPER YOURSELF!

We’re still trying to figure out why Brooke Shields gets her manicure and pedicure done every week in the cheapest nail salon in Brentwood. She patronizes one of those Vietnamese salons where nobody speaks English and we suspect the cute Vietnamese girls are trafficked in illegally, but we have no proof. Certainly they didn’t pass any license tests in English. We go to these cut-rate salons because they are affordable, but we’re always nervous about the sanitation and the fact that we usually end up bleeding. Anyway, Brooke has her mani-pedi done for a mere $20, and we can’t figure out why she doesn’t get pampered at a nicer, more hygienic salon – she can afford it.

HOW BROOKE SHIELDS AND TOM CRUISE BECAME FRIENDS INDEED

AHA! The truth comes out! If you were wondering why Brooke Shields became SO chummy with Tom Cruise after they had that very public tiff over anti-depressants, we’ve got the answer. After Tom’s anti-drug tirade he realized how many women had turned AGAINST him (including Sumner Redstone’s wife) – they sided with Brooke. Rather than lose masses of female fans, Tom appeared on Brooke’s doorstep with an apology. He included her in various social events and Brooke softened up. Tom desperately needed her friendship and Brooke’s publicized appearance at his wedding was a huge deal to Cruise. He persuaded Brooke to attend the wedding by pampering her like a princess with deluxe travel accomodations AND he promised her a role in one of his upcoming movies, possibly The War Magician. Brooke is thrilled – HER career needs a boost too! So they’re BOTH happy with their showbiz “friendship.”
