MADONNA’S BROTHER ANTHONY DIDN’T GET TO SEE HER SUPERBOWL SHOW

Madonna was totally unaware that her homeless older brother Anthony Ciccone, 55, was outside in the parking lot while she was performing at the Superbowl, according to RadarOnline. Since he was rejected by his family due to drug and alcohol abuse, Ciccone has been living under a bridge or at a homeless shelter in Traverse City, Michigan. With the help of a local radio station he made his way to Indianapolis, but didn’t get into the stadium Anthony’s living conditions were revealed months ago, but Madonna and her family have given up on him, feeling they’ve done everything they can. Madonna’s alcoholic brother who is living on the streets in Michigan gave an interview to the Daily Mail that’s quite revealing. Madonna, who is said to have a fortune of 650 million dollars, has not forsaken him. Anthony Ciccone, 55, admits that his sister Madonna, 53, has many times offered to pay for him to go to rehab and in fact, she sent him to a Houston clinic for two months but it “didn’t help.” He doesn’t want to stop drinking and feels rehab is not ALWAYS the answer. His alcoholism got him fired from the family winery 18 months ago and he’s been living as a vagrant on skid row with the crackheads ever since. His hard life is revealed in the fact that he looks SO much older than his sister.

Celebrity brothers are an interesting phenomenon. Many would like to follow in their successful sibling’s footsteps but quickly learn that it’s not all that easy. Joey Travolta went on to become a director and has been directing videos, Jim Hanks does a lot off voice-overs, and Frank Stallone is still singing. (Although he boxed Geraldo Rivera in 2005 and won) He appears with his band at clubs around the country and he still looks good.

ANNE HATHAWAY GAVE UP RELIGION FOR HER BROTHER

Another reason to love Anne Hathaway (as if “The Devil Wears Prada” weren’t enough.) The “Valentines Day” star told British GQ that she and her family left the Catholic church because of their intolerance of homosexuality. When her beloved older brother Michael came out, the family turned Episcopalian. That didn’t work out so well either, but it’s great to see such a supportive family.
