JANET JACKSON KEEPS HER FAMILY AWAY FROM HER BOYFRIEND

The holidays are when families get together – sometimes reluctantly. Janet Jackson, 45, has been dating billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana, 36, for two years and she’s managed to pretty much keep him away from her relatives. It’s obvious that the two are in love (he calls her his “dream woman”) and perhaps secretly engaged, but Janet is uncomfortable spending time with her family because she’s afraid – her brothers especially – will hit on Wissam for LOANS or try to talk him investing in their questionable schemes and projects! She’d rather avoid a potentially embarrassing situation.

CALISTA FLOCKHART AND HARRISON FORD SURPRISED EVERYONE – EXCEPT LIAM

We thought it would never happen. Calista Flockhart, 45, and Harrison Ford, 67, have been perfectly content together for over 8 years and rumors of an engagement started around 3 years ago but nothing ever happened. We figured they were another Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell – happily unmarried. So their sudden wedding at the Governor’s mansion in New Mexico took everyone by surprise. We’re guessing their adopted son Liam, 9, coaxed them into taking the big step.

SWINE FLU PANIC CLOSED DOWN BROTHERS & SISTERS PRODUCTION

brothers-and-sisterscut

Swine flu finally reared it’s ugly head in Hollywood and naturally everybody panicked- for awhile. Calmer heads eventually prevailed. Last week the cast and crew of Brothers & Sisters, including Sally Field, Rob Lowe, Calista Flockhart, and Rachel Griffiths, received ominous phone calls from the production office telling them that “someone” connected to the show had tested POSITIVE for swine flu, but they refused to identify who it was. The caller told everyone NOT to report for work the next day until further notice. The cast and crew were alarmed, but the next day they were reassured that docs declared it was safe to return to the set – but anyone who felt even slightly ill should stay home. We’re betting that germ conscious actors avoided the craft table for awhile.

MILEY CYRUS'S HALF BROTHER WOULDN'T MIND A LITTLE ATTENTION

Miley Cyrus’s half brother Chris Cyrus, 17, is still hoping some of her stardust will rub off on him. Miley’s dad Billy Ray had a fling with Chris’s mother, a waitress in South Carolina around the same time he was seeing Trish. Chris, the love child, was born less than a year before Miley and although Billy Ray acknowledged his son, Chris has never spent much time with his dad. He’s only seen Miley around five times in his life. Chris is currently working in a Texas electronics store for $7.50 an hour and he has no car. Maybe Chris is releasing provocative photos of himself to stimulate opportunities.

BROTHERS & SISTERS' MATTHEW RHYS DRIVES A HARD BARGAIN

Matthewcut340x.jpg
Sienna Miller, but Matthew Rhys has also made a name for himself on “Brothers & Sisters” – he plays Sally Field’s gay son. Matthew and some girlfriends were browsing at the Fairfax flea market in West Hollywood Sunday when he spotted a beat up metal chair he couldn’t resist. The vendor was surprised by his thick Welsh accent because Matthew plays an American on TV. He bought the chair and a similar metal stool for just $25 and carried them off triumphantly.

DON'T UNDERESTIMATE SALLY FIELD

sallycutfield.jpg
And we always figured that Sally Field must be really sweet! It’s hard to imagine, but we’re hearing things from the set of Brothers & Sisters that indicate she is more like “a bitch on wheels!” Sources tell us that Sally never lets anyone forget that SHE is the biggest star on the show and she often talks down to others in a distinctly condescending way. Apparently Sally had an unpleasant show-down with what was described as” a really nice woman in the costume department.” Our witness said Sally didn’t like her sweater color or something and yelled and belittled the woman until she burst into tears. Sally HAS come a long way since Gidget.
