FASHION POLICE INSULTS DON’T BOTHER CAMERON DIAZ

It’s not surprising to hear that celebrities sometimes are very insulted by offhand comments made by the critics on E’s Fashion Police. Joan Rivers’ cohost George Kotsiopoulos was evaluating Oscar red carpet fashion and blurted that Cameron Diaz had “man arms.” (Is that an insult?) Anyway, George admitted to Norm Clarke at the Las Vegas Review Journal that he regretted it later- ESPECIALLY when he ran into Cameron Diaz in person. Imagine his surprise when she said it was no big deal – after twenty years in show business she couldn’t let a little thing like THAT bother her! It’s nice to hear that she doesn’t take herself too seriously

Cameron Diaz, 40, has been a good time girl in Hollywood for the past 20 years and she’s quite a catch. She looks like a model, but she’s fun, down to earth, and very athletic. She’s had TONS of actor and ballplayer boyfriends, even a few engagements, but nothing ever worked out. Among her conquests: Matt Dillon, Jude law, Adam Levine, Jared Leto, Gerard Butler, Edward Norton, Alex Rodriguez and Justin Timberlake. Odds are she will appear this week in numerous magazines declaring “A Baby for Cameron Diaz!” Where was her stylist? On the bright side, the baby commotion might bring more publicity to her movie. She plays “an eccentric Texas rodeo queen “ in cahoots with a questionable art curator played by Colin Firth in the movie, which is a remake of the 1966 movie with Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine.

Just because Tom Cruise was a guest at Cameron Diaz’s 40th birthday party in London does NOT mean they are dating! The pair became friendly while filming “Knight and Day” in 2010, but Cameron is hardly a likely prospect for Tom’s next conquest. Granted, she IS very single and she IS taller than Tom, which he seems to prefer. But Cameron is too old for Tom – he needs a very young girl who is either a Scientologist or too young to realize what Scientology really IS. Cameron doesn’t need help with her career and she has plenty of money of her own. Friendship is all she wants from Tom. She was described as “desperate” and ”losing her looks” but that’s not the case. She’s in Paris for Fashion Week where she was photographed leaving her hotel looking like a million bucks. Her latest consort P Diddy was nowhere in sight.

But it’s not Cameron Diaz or Brooklyn Decker– it is, of all people, Chris Rock! A set source told Frank Digiacomo of the Daily News that Chris is the only cast member not shuttled to the set on standard transport- Rock has a special black Escalade for himself and his entourage. His entourage isn’t quite as large as Jennifer’s, but “his hairstylist, makeup artist and bodyguard are always within ten feet of him.” Really. We can imagine down-to-earth Cameron Diaz puzzled by all this “big star behavior.”

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are doing everything possible to stir up some excitement for their romantic comedy/action thriller “Knight And >Day.” The New York Post critic Lou Lumenick unfavorably compared it to the Ashton Kutcher-Katherine Heigl bomb of last week, “Killers.” This critic lamented the absurdly improbable yet totally predictable plot and the endless close-ups of Tom Cruise’s grin. Cameron apparently spends her screen time either screaming or looking adoringly at Tom’s character. In summation, Tom and Cameron were accused of taking ticket-buyers for a ride.

It was a painful split – Cameron was hoping for a commitment, and although Justin loved her – he wanted the freedom to have fun. Cameron Diaz pulled off a skillful juggling act in Las Vegas this weekend. With no boyfriends in sight, Cameron and Drew Barrymore partied at the Light club at Bellagio and had fun without ever bumping into two of Cameron’s recent boyfriends who were ALSO in Vegas. Justin Timberlake was at Jet nightclub and Criss Angel was (with Britney Spears) at LAX at the Luxor . Cameron REALLY didn’t feel like seeing either of them, so she pulled the right strings and navigated the weekend smoothly – there were no awkward encounters.
