Recently they arrived in Portsmouth, Domenica, on a yacht to enjoy the tropical forests and coral reefs. Both of their kids – Dylan, 21, and Carys, 18, aspire to show biz careers – but NOT until they get their college diplomas. Dylan has been doing well at Brown University and Carys was studying in Europe, but may have switched. Both kids are lucky to resemble their mom…

MICHAEL DOUGLAS AND CATHERINE ZETA-JONES : HOW DO THEY STAY MARRIED?

Being married to Michael Douglas couldn’t be a walk in the park, and frankly, we’re surprised that Catherine Zeta-Jones has hung on so long! Catherine met Michael in 1999 and married him in 2000, in spite of the fact that he was a legendary Hollywood womanizer. They had two young children when Michael was diagnosed with oral cancer and worried Catherine nursed him back to health. We can only imagine her embarrassment when Michael remarked that he blamed his cancer on too much oral sex. Catherine checked into a psychiatric clinic more than once and the pair separated for awhile. We figured they‘d split after their kids hit their teens, but no. They are back on track and looking good. Above, Michael was honored at the Paley Center for his long career. (Michael and Catherine were both born on September 25 – but 25 years apart!)

We couldn’t figure out why Catherine Zeta-Jones and her fifteen year old daughter Carys were walking into Michael Kors fashion show in New York with NO coats – in frigid weather. (That’s Michael Douglas lurking behind them ) Turns out they were being filmed by W Magazine all day – good publicity for everyone. We’ve always thought Catherine is lucky to be gorgeous because she has little or no fashion sense. Carys is already performing in school plays and dreams of an acting career- but an Ivy League education comes first! Good for her.

Griselda Blanco (top photo) from Colombia was called the Queen of Cocaine and responsible for 200 violent murders (plus her own 3 husbands) during her career as a drug czar in Miami. Five feet tall, she looked like an innocent auntie or grandma, but started killing at the age of 13. Sometimes her cartel made 80 million dollars a month transporting drugs. She was obsessed with the movies The Godfather and Scarface and lived a life of total debauchery until she was killed in 2012. Lifetime planned to film her biography, “Cocaine Godmother,” and Jennifer Lopez was interested. Could Lopez look any LESS like Blanco? When that deal fell through, even LESS plausible Catherine Zeta-Jones was hired for the role! What were casting people at Lifetime thinking? Would Lifetime cast Chris Hemsworth to star in the Harvey Weinstein story?

The Michael Douglas family just returned from a two week vacation in Europe and they appear to have had a good time. When they landed at LAX, Michael and Catherine were mobbed by paparazzi and fans. While Michael signed autographs, the snappily dressed Catherine walked on ahead with their kids Dylan, 14, and Carys, 12, who both seem to resemble their mother. Michael and Catherine are celebrating their 15th anniversary in November.

Nobody looks better in 1940’s attire than Catherine Zeta Jones. She’s in the UK filming “Dad’s Army” – a movie based on a very popular British TV series from the 70’s. The wartime story picks up where the series ended. Catherine plays a journalist who is suspected of being a spy for Germany. It looks like her marriage to to Michael Douglas is back on track – she put the Bedford, NY, house where she lived while they were separated, on the market.

MICHAEL DOUGLAS AND HIS FAMILY LOOK HAPPY AGAIN

Here’s a nice change. It’s the Michael Douglas family – Catherine, looking beautiful and their kids Dylan and Carys, walking through the airport instead of the Jolie-Pitts. It’s been awhile since we saw them all together. The family is in the Barcelona Airport after attending the film festival there. Michael was in a good mood – he cracked a joke and made the security guard laugh while going through the metal detector.

It’s a good sign that Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are still holding hands, even if it is on the red carpet at the Chaplin Award Gala in New York. They spent a lot of time thinking about their marriage and it’s likely that Michael is determined to make it work, if Catherine is willing. Michael has more to lose if they split, (the kids, for one thing) so he’s probably acting like the perfect husband these days. Insiders say they really ARE getting along now. Together they are a powerful celebrity couple – apart, not so much.
