Princess Caroline of Monaco looks stern as she watches her daughter Charlotte Casiraghi compete in the Gucci Masters equestrian competition in Paris. It so happens that Gucci started out many years ago as a riding apparel company. Charlotte finished in 5th place. It’s amazing what Grace Kelly’s genes did to improve the first family of Monaco.
If it’s any consolation to the multitudes of stranded passengers in Europe, royalty is no better off than you are. Princess Grace of Monaco’s granddaughter Princess Charlotte Casiraghi, 23, and her boyfriend Alex Dellal were stranded in Rome. Since no planes were flying due to the volcanic ash, the couple left the airport and joined the mob scene at the train station in Rome.
Princess Caroline’s daughter Charlotte Casiraghi certainly stands out in a crowd, doesn’t she? She’s pictured above at the acclaimed Fences Horse Auction with her trainer Michel Rozier. Horsewoman Charlotte is hoping to find another mount to compete alongside her current favorite horse G.I. Joe. Looking at Charlotte’s face reminds us that American actress Grace Kelly’s genes forever enhanced the looks of the Rainier clan in Monaco.

Charlotte Casiraghi, 22, has inherited her mother’s good looks. Her mother, of course, is Princess Caroline of Monaco. Caroline deliberately didn’t give Charlotte a title, in hopes that she could live her life out of the public eye. But she’s pretty, and the European press is mad for her. Charlotte earned a degree in philosophy from the Sorbonne – where that will lead her in terms of a career remains to be seen. She does love her dog and perhaps doesn’t trust French drivers, because she carried her pooch across the street in Paris.
