PAMELA ANDERSON IS A BROADWAY STAR

Happy to see that Pamela Anderson was a smashing success on her opening night as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago on Broadway. What Pam has in common with the character Roxie is that they were both tabloid favorites and quite accustomed to flashbulbs. (Set in the 1920’s, glamour doll Roxie murdered her lover and pled self defense in court) Everybody wondered if Pam could pull off the singing and dancing required, and she DID! Reviewers agreed that she was not only funny, but can carry a tune, and had some hot dance moves. Her fans in the audience clapped and cheered through the whole show, giving gave her a standing ovation. Her love life might be disappointing, but Pamela’s career is looking goooood. Above, she was mobbed by fans when she exited the stage door after the show.

PAMELA ANDERSON WANTS YOU TO FORGET “PAM AND TOMMY”

Pamela Anderson is in New York looking adorable and she’s there for a good reason. She’s promoting her upcoming role as Roxie Hart in Chicago (the second longest running Broadway show.) Between divorces, Pam like to take a break and actually work. In January, she filed for divorce from her fifth husband, bodyguard Dan Hayhurst. Remember – she divorced Jon Peters after 12 days and moved to France for YEARS while dating a soccer player. And she was married to Kid Rock for four months – she didn’t want to move to Michigan! Pam is also working on a Netflix docu-series about her colorful life – her preparation in New York for Chicago is being filmed for the documentary. She’s hoping this will make people forget about the Hulu series Pam and Tommy than she did NOT like…

Chicago Jussie Smollett

JUSSIE SMOLLETT: WE CHICAGOANS WANT JUSTICE!

We were incredibly disappointed when charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped in 2019. Remember, the Empire actor claimed two racist and homophobic white men viciously attacked him in Chicago (one was wearing a MAGA hat, no less) – his story was too absurd to believe. Turns out, he paid two guys who worked on Empire $3500 each to fake the attack. (He thought the publicity would enhance he’s career) But the guys confessed, and we were relieved that Chicago wasn’t as evil as Jussie made it seem. When charges against Jussie were dismissed, we chalked it up to corrupt politicians. But SOMEBODY came to their senses, and he was recharged with felony misconduct for the scam. Covid got in the way, but now he’s back in court and we hope he gets what he deserves.

Chicago Empire Hate Crime Indicted Jussie Smollett Liar, Liar!

IT’S ABOUT TIME: CHICAGO INTENDS TO PROVE JUSSIE SMOLLETT LIED

Frankly, we never got over the fact that charges against Jussie Smollett were DROPPED after he orchestrated that fake hate crime in Chicago. His claims of a racist and homophobic attack by two white guys (one wearing a MAGA hat, no less) were honestly too absurd to believe. And when the two guys were found and claimed to be hired by the Empire actor to fake the crime against him, we were happy that our hometown Chicago is NOT that evil. Tons of evidence popped up to prove Jussie lied. When he was mysteriously set free, we chalked it up to corrupt politicians. What a nice surprise – angry Chicagoans are finally vindicated with these new charges against Jussie – we can’t wait to hear the whole story in court.

Chicago Dancing With the Stars Rumer Willis

RUMER WILLIS HASN’T STOPPED DANCING SINCE SHE WON THAT TROPHY

It took us a minute to recognize this actress because the knit cap and sunglasses were distracting. It’s Rumer Willis, 27. She’s back from New York where she finished her stint as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. Taking home the trophy on Dancing with the Stars last season was the second best thing that ever happened to her. Winning Stars led to her Broadway appearance and now she’s getting lots of offers for singing and dancing roles. She’s currently filming a musical movie Hello Again, and she’s officially traded the title of “aspiring actress” for “working actress.” We’re not crazy about her look above, but she’s on her way into the West Hollywood Nine Zero One hair salon so she might come out looking better.

RUMER WILLIS: DANCING WITH THE STARS CHANGED MY LIFE!

Rumer Wilis, 27, is living proof that Dancing with the Stars can change a contestant’s career. Before winning the dance trophy, Rumer appeared in a few forgettable movies and guested on a number of TV shows. But she admits she had no confidence. (Online haters have always been particularly cruel to her. You know who you are.) On DWTS she showed off her dancing skills and her lithe figure and she was DAZZLING. Broadway producers saw her and offered her the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago. Her Broadway dreams came true thanks to DWTS. Chicago Dennis Farina Law & Order Thanks for the Memories

DENNIS FARINA WAS EQUALLY BELIEVABLE AS A COP OR A GANGSTER

We always felt a tiny connection with actor Dennis Farina because he spent 18 years (‘67 to ‘85) as a Chicago cop and we grew up there. (Don’t know if he was one of those cops who expected bribes, but many of them did in those days – and they all seemed to be big and have deep voices, unlike Los Angeles cops.) Dennis started out as a police consultant for director Michael Mann and got into acting. He always retained his thick Chicago accent and played gangsters and police officers with equal gusto in numerous movies and TV series. His death from a blood clot was sudden and hopefully painless, but we will miss him. (Above in Law & Order with Michael Imperioli)

Former “Swinger” Vince Vaughn looks like a totally proud and happy dad at a Chicago park with his wife Kyla. Vaughn’s little girl Locklyn is five months old and he amuses her by making faces at her. Vince and his realtor wife live in Chicago because he feels it’s a better place to raise a child. The public schools are excellent, so parents don’t have to sweat getting their kids into the “right” private schools that cost a fortune. Not to mention the fact that 14 year olds don’t carry Prada bags.

Jennifer Hudson says she didn’t realize she was overweight until a red carpet reporter asked her how it felt to be a “big girl in Hollywood.” Jennifer was startled because she thought “In Chicago, where I come from, I’m a normal size!” (Midwesterners do tend to be hearty!) When she started Weight Watchers, Jennifer says she also started feeding her son the right way too. 80 pounds later, Hudson has been bombarded with job opportunities and has dawned on her that “big girls” in Hollywood don’t get nearly as many offers and scripts.

They’ve been living together at his place in the windy (and snowy and COLD ) city since November, but when they get a break they fly to Los Angeles. Jay’s teammates worry that Kristin’s party habits might negatively affect his career. Jay and Kristin talked about getting engaged this year and have been seen looking at engagement rings at jewelers in Chicago. Kristin has already picked out the one she likes.
