We were RIGHT when we told you that Rihanna would go back to her abusive boyfriend Chris Brown after he beat her up. Chris was her first big love and she had a terrible time getting over him. Now Rihanna has confessed that she DID reunite with Chris, but eventually put love aside and came to her senses. She couldn’t bear to talk about the incident until now because she was still in love with Chris. We give Rihanna a lot of credit – both for confessing and for leaving Chris for good. We only hope she doesn’t change her mind. Since legally Chris is restrained from going anywhere near her, maybe she’ll have time to fall for someone else.

Who didn’t have the sense to pull up his pants before he jumped into his SUV? It’s Chris Brown, of course, arriving at LAX. He’s happy because the single he released after his arrest “I Can Transform Ya,” is gradually gaining velocity and moving up the music charts. Judging by his front view, you’d never guess his pants are so saggy.

Chris Brown hasn’t heard the last of Wrigley Doublemint Gum. He had a very lucrative contract with Wrigley and his ad campaign was not only successful, it produced his hit song “Forever.” Chris had apparently signed up for another five year stint with Wrigley and finished a number of commercials when the Rihanna incident happened. Wrigley pulled his ads and fired Chris. Now they are said to be preparing to sue Chris for all the money they lost due to his bad behavior. They spent big bucks on ads featuring Chris along with other celebrities like JayZ and Mariah Carey. Since Chris was in them also – everything had to be ditched. Wrigley is mad and we hear they hope to recoup the money Chris caused them to lose with a big fat lawsuit.

It sounds highly improbable, but a friend of Chris Brown leaked this surprising piece of information about him: It seems Chris is aspiring to become an ordained minister! The source says he’s determined to prove to the world that he’s a changed man so he’s been reading the bible and studying to become a man of the cloth. “He’s become more religious since the February incident (in which he beat up his girlfriend Rihanna,) and he’s found God again. He wants to become a minister – at least part time.” He already looked like he was going to church when he appeared on Larry King.

Rihanna and Chris Brown had quite a jolt yesterday when the judge who sentenced Chris to six months of hard labor cleaning up highways and five years probation, flatly REFUSED Rihanna’s request to cancel the stay-away order. This was a real shock because Chris must stay 100 yards away from Rihanna for five years or his probation will be REVOKED and he’ll go straight to jail. Rihanna hoped the judge would drop the order. This enhances the tragic “Romeo & Juliet” aspect of their shattered romance. Insiders feel the former lovers hoped to reunite when things quieted down. Now they don’t have a chance. Smart judge.

In spite of his questionable taste in clothing, Chris Brown continues to go through the motions of being a ladies man. After a night of partying, he showed up at Kitchen 24 in Hollywood one night last week at 3:30 AM. According to a witness, the group consisted of Chris and six buddies, a bodyguard, and – no kidding- “fifteen or sixteen girls.” Chris and friends were given a whole section of the restaurant. Chris noisily held court and chatted up all the girls – they willingly laughed at all his jokes. When he paid the tab and left, our witness couldn’t tell which, if any of the girls, went home with Chris.

Just as we’ve been telling you all along, Rihanna and Chris Brown have been in constant touch and ARE planning to get back together sometime after his sentencing Wednesday. She has already taken the very important FIRST step toward reconciliation. Rihanna is REQUESTING a less restrictive protective order against Chris. That means he won’t have to stay fifty yards away – he can sit on her lap if she lets him – and you can bet she will. They’ve been postponing resuming their romance until their handlers felt a reasonable amount of time had passed and Chris seemed sufficiently sorry. Will fans forgive and forget?

If “unacceptable” is the harshest word Chris Brown can come up with to describe his vicious beating of Rihanna, then it’s apparent that he felt it was not such a big thing. “Unacceptable” is a word you might use when you forget your girlfriend’s birthday – NOT when you beat her bloody and leave her in the street. And Chris never actually mentioned the assault – he minimized it by referring to it as an “incident.” He was oddly attired in a non aggressive, almost feminine looking Asian inspired shirt. We also suspect his motivations are self-serving because he was recently at a party where Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey showed up. Chris was heard making fun of Nick for being so attentive to his wife Mariah.

The countdown begins. Rihanna is scheduled to testify in court against her (ex? we’re not so sure…) boyfriend Chris Brown next Monday on June 22. Chris’s lawyer failed to get the date postponed so the show must go on, and it will be QUITE a drama. Meanwhile Rihanna is still in New York – she’s pictured here leaving her hotel with considerable fanfare. Judging by those red pointed nails, she’s sharpening her claws for SOMETHING.
