CHRISTINA HENDRICKS KNOWS WHAT SHE WANTS

And what Christina Hendricks wants – is to get ON with her life! She’s in New York promoting the third season of her NBC comedy/drama series Good Girls, looking cool and confident. The Mad Men star and her husband of ten years, Geoffrey Arend, announced their civilized split last October, and the very next day Christina was seen giving orders to movers at her house. She didn’t want to waste a minute. Christina also took advantage of awards season and attended parties, especially the Vanity Fair Oscar party, dressed to kill. She’s in a good place right now. Christina Hendricks is single and ready to mingle – she’s been hitting the holiday parties in Hollywood like never before. The Mad Men star and her husband of ten years, Geoffrey Arend, abruptly announced their split in October, and they sold their New York apartment. This week Christina was seen without a date at the Brooks Brothers party wearing a tailored suit by the label, and this weekend she partied in Brentwood at an event that handed out gift bags. Her companion is just a platonic friend. A decorative addition to any event, Christina has one of those beautiful faces that looks better without a lot of makeup…

Christina Hendricks is a single girl now and she’s not missing her daily walks and workouts. The Mad Men star revealed the split from her husband of ten years, Madame Secretary actor Geoffrey Arend, with a nicely worded announcement. She acknowledged that she and Geoffrey would always be grateful for the love they shared, and would still work together to raise their two beautiful dogs.

HACKED ACTRESSES: “THOSE NUDE PHOTOS ARE FAKE!!!” (OH, REALLY?)

How come every time a female celebrity’s phone is hacked, it just happens to have nude photos on it? Not long ago, it was “Gossip Girl” Blake Lively, Mila Kunis, Scarlett Johansson – and most recently, Christina Hendricks and Olivia Munn. (above) The first thing the hacked actresses do is fall all over themselves, claiming the nude photos are NOT HER! We’ve heard that before. What boggles the mind is the fact that actresses of normal intelligence are dumb enough to HAVE nudie photos on their phones. And they seem to make it awfully easy to get hacked by taking no precautions. Police, with many better things to do, are assigned to “investigate.” Memo to hacked actresses: you’ll get no sympathy from us.

CHRISTINA HENDRICKS DOESN’T NEED A STYLIST TO DRESS HER

In the past, nobody paid much attention to the Creative Emmys because they’re not televised and considered secondary to the real Emmys. Attendees didn’t fret so much about what to wear. But when Christina Hendricks from Mad Men showed up this year looking ravishing, she raised the bar and stole the show. Her fabulous black silk layered gown was designed especially for her by Project Runway winner Christian Siriano, who IS a winner, indeed. Christina is one of his best customers – she wore his peach ruffled frock to the 2010 Golden Globes. One last note: it is refreshing to see a pretty woman without any visible tattoos.

CHRISTINA HENDRICKS AND PATRICIA ARQUETTE: SOME MAKE BETTER GOLDEN GLOBES CHOICES THAN OTHERS

Our favorite Golden Globes look and our least favorite look are both on TV actresses. “Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks loves Project Runway and got hooked on winner Christian Siriano’s glam designs. (Keep in mind it’s more of a challenge to dress a voluptuous woman than a skinny model-type.) He did this fluffy peach dress that makes her look like a sugary confection. The color is delectable on her. Christina love vintage also and she shops the vintage clothing shows for her personal wardrobe.

Medium star Patricia Arquette made a bad choice in this gray dress – there’s a lot going on here and none of it is good. This drab and drapey choice makes an adorable actress look matronly and more like a librarian than a TV star. She’s not as old as this dress makes her look.

Dita Von Teese is still in Paris, so she was sorely missed at the Vintage Fashion Expo in Santa Monica last week. Dita is a popular and discerning shopper at the show. Other celebrities looking for fabulous vintage clothing were Mad Men’s sexy redhead Christina Hendricks (she bought vintage lingerie,) Marisa Tomei, Lisa Bonet and her boyfriend Jason Momoa and their baby, and, of all people, Larry David. According to a vendor, Larry just walked around talking on his cellphone and seemed oblivious to the shopping frenzy around him.
