American Idol is a hotbed of gossip since Ellen Degeneres was abruptly hired to replace Paula Abdul. When noteworthy former contestant Constantine Maroulis and Idol judge Kara DioGuardi spotted each other across the catwalk at a New York fashion show, they just HAD to have a chat. Constantine was very curious about Kara’s take on the situation, but Kara seemed far more interested in texting- or is she taking his phone number?

Here’s a thought provoking couple: American Idol past finalist Constantine Maroulis and Holly Huddleston from Sunset Tan were seen out at the Crown Bar in West Hollywood. Constantine usually keeps his private life under wraps and Holly was recently linked with American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, of all people.

It’s Constantine Maroulis, looking kinda cute, back in Hollywood and he’s on his way to Les Deux. Nothing bad can happen to him – he’s wearing a rosary around his neck. No underage girls with him this time, but he’s bringing a bottle of water to a bar – is this a money saving device?

LANCE BASS HOPES YOU'LL BUY CONSTANTINE'S ALBUM

Lance Bass was a surprise guest at Constantine’s album release party at Stereo in New York. Lance is turning into the “surprise guest” that everybody wants. We ran into him at Kathy Griffin’s Christmas soiree and his smiley face popped up in the movie “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry” to the audience’s screaming delight. Apparently he and Constantine have been friends for awhile.

Are we crazy or do these super young girls that Constantine Maroulis hangs out with make HIM look older? Last night the American Idol runner up was giving that smoldering “look” to young women at Le Deux. Apparently the Jersey boy is in Hollywood to promote the release of his new album coming out in August. It looks like he took our hint and ditched those beat up lizard boots for – yikes- white shoes!

Constantine Maroulis arrived at the opening of the club Opera in Hollywood last night with seven girls. Too bad four of them were underage and had fake I.D.’s and were turned away. The club has some new sophisticated system for checking if ID’s are phoney. The loss of four girls didn’t faze the American Idol runner up, he ended up in a clinch with a blonde. (In spite of those awful shoes.)
