Looking remarkably composed, Courtney Love showed up at the 2010 Brit Awards and didn’t embarrass herself. She’s in the UK performing and she’s about to release the first Hole album in a decade – and it took five years to put together. The album is titled “Nobody’s Daughter” – ironic, considering Courtney’s daughter Frances has a restraining order against her mother.

Who are we to deny you a fashion moment with Courtney Love? She was dressed up in tie dye splendor on her way back to her Soho Hotel when she noticed the photographer. She looks like she’s trying to keep her mouth shut – usually she says way too MUCH when she encounters the press. It doesn’t do her any good – she lost custody of her 17 year old daughter Frances and can’t even talk to her.

We were enthralled by the Page Six story about Courtney Love, 45, hooking up with DJ Qualls, 31 and we just had to display their photos side by side. He’s the skinny actor from “Hustle & Flow” who usually plays a brainy nerd, and you’ve seen him a million times. According to the paper, Courtney and her band were partying at 1Oak, and Qualls, who was at the next table, introduced himself. They started chatting and soon Courtney was “all over him.” She dragged Qualls to Scores strip club where major smooching took place. They stumbled out at 4 AM. Quite an amusing couple.

Courtney Love is walking around New York looking very skinny, but she happens to be carrying a big box of vitamins. That’s a step in the right direction – but they’re not a substitute for food.
Meanwhile, Courtney’s daughter with Kurt Cobain – Frances Cobain – is seventeen now and she was seen shopping on her own in the village at Zachary’s Smile – a shop that sells vintage clothing from the 1940’s to the 1980’s. She’s definitely developing her own style, but will she ever have a normal life?

Courtney Love was spotted in New York walking around in rather elaborate attire – she almost looks like she’s on her way home from a festive night of partying. Apparently she realized she was overdressed and she popped into the Diesel store where they were having a sale. When she left the store she was wearing a brand new – more casual – outfit from head to toe. Improvement, or not?

Courtney Love is back in New York, going from one address to another, hunting for an apartment to lease. We can’t imagine the landlords are particularly delighted to see her because on her June visit to the city, she reportedly trashed her hotel room at the posh Inn on Irving Place. $5000 worth of damage in one day, according to Page 6. Having Courtney love for a tenant would be a challenging experience.

Courtney Love’s blogs are a chore to read and an insightful colleague was kind enough to translate her latest ravings for us. Apparently she has come to the conclusion that the mortgage industry meltdown is directly related to the conspiratorial acts committed by her former employees and confidants who embezzled a FORTUNE from her. Courtney insists her losses total 800 million dollars. She says that trust funds created for her daughter were raided and the money used, along with Kurt Cobain’s stolen social security number, to buy thousands of pieces of property in fake names across the US, with each piece refinanced to buy more. Thus, the mortgage meltdown. She says she has proof but no one will listen to her. And this investigation has taken up so much of Courtney’s time, that her long delayed album, Nobody’s Daughter, will not be released anytime soon.

STEVE COOGAN WISHES COURTNEY LOVE WOULD JUST SHUT UP

We doubt if actor Steve Coogan is going to sue Courtney Love for the comments she made about his being a “drug enabler.” Courtney claimed that Steve “was right there” offering her drugs after she got out of rehab and she believes he got his friend Owen Wilson hooked on drugs. (Owen and Steve filmed Night at the Museum together) Keep in mind, Courtney has said WORSE things about Steve in the past. She claims they had a two week affair after they met at an LA hotel, and that she became PREGNANT with his baby! Nobody knows if there ever really was a baby because Courtney was high and in and out of rehab in those days. Evidently Steve hangs with a druggy crowd and now Courtney made him famous overnight. Suing her would be a waste of time.

Courtney Love grabs a smoke outside her beachfront home in Malibu. She’s struggling to get DOWN to a pack a day because doctors found she has throat problems. Now that she’s skinny, we wonder how cutting back on smoking will affect her weight. She could always develop ADD (like most of Hollywood) and a prescription for Adderall will solve THAT problem.

SINCE WHEN ARE DOC MARTENS POLITICALLY CORRECT ?

Why are these Dr Martens dead rock star ads causing such an uproar? We think using dead rockers lounging in heaven in their Doc Martens is a brilliant idea. Offensive? These guys- Joe Strummer, Sid Vicious, Joey Ramone, and Kurt Cobain, THRIVED on being offensive when they were alive. That’s why we loved them. And they DID wear Doc Martens. The ads simply state “Dr Martens. Forever.” What’s so offensive about THAT? Granted, Cobain’s widow Courtney Love is disgruntled because British copyright laws who’t allow her to collect any money for this. THAT’s why she griped that the ad was in bad taste. We are really steamed at the cowardly Doc Martens CEO, David Suddens, who caved in to Love and GROVELED and apologized for his “tasteless” blunder, and pulled the ads. Then he FIRED the ad agency (Saatchi & Saatchi London) responsible for this brilliant campaign. What’s WRONG with these Dr Martens people?

Courtney Love was throwing her weight around backstage at Coachella, but no one paid her much attention. Although she was NOT performing, Courtney decided she had to have a trailer of her own backstage. She told everyone who looked important that she wanted a trailer – and pointed to one conveniently located near the gate. It was already occupied by the Brazilian punk band CSS (Tired of Being Sexy) who had no idea what she was up to. When the bandmembers saw Courtney they got very excited and rushed to meet her. She brushed them off and PERSISTED in searching for someone in charge who could give her their trailer. An observer described her behavior as “toxic” and her demands were not met.

HOW THE OTHER HALF CELEBRATES EASTER

We love hearing about how “the other half “lives and in Hollywood they live pretty darn well. For example on Easter, many celebrities took their kids to an Easter egg hunt – not like the ones WE are used to- this happened to be at the Malibu mansion of mogul Ron Meyer. The pampered children of people like Gwyneth Paltrow, Tobey Maguire, Robert De Niro etc had quite an Easter Sunday. Kids were treated to “what looked like” a thousand goose size eggs hidden all over the property. Each child was given a large basket to fill up. The eggs contained “toys” like iPods, candy, and money (fifteen dollars per money egg.) The kids also had a petting zoo where they could play with bunnies, baby chicks, and miniature horses. Parents had a cocktail bar and an omelet buffet and everyone picnicked and enjoyed the ocean view. (Except for Courtney Love who sat on the grass, rocking back and forth, smoking cigarettes.) These Hollywood kids don’t know how lucky they are.

How many drinks does it take for Bruce Willis to hook up with Courtney Love? It so happens Bruce Willis was in the audience for Amy Winehouse’s performance at The Roxy. He had four or five drinks upstairs before he went down to the Roxy on the first floor to see Amy’s show. He was sitting at VIP table when Courtney Love playfully approached him. They had a few laughs and she sat down at his table. Bruce had more drinks and they next time my source looked Courtney was sitting on Bruce’s lap whispering in his ear! Before long they were openly nuzzling and kissing! Source said “If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t have believed it.” (Bruce usually likes young girls) After the show Bruce’s friends were holding a table for him at the after-party upstairs at On The Rox, but Bruce didn’t show up. He was seen slipping out the side door with Courtney!
