How many people out there think that Criss Angel might be USING Holly Madison to drum up publicity for his new Las Vegas show? She appeared for the opening night festivities of Angel’s lavish “Believe” extravaganza at the Luxor – which has been getting mixed reviews during sneak peeks. Angel promises that all the glitches that appeared during previews have been ironed out. Meanwhile he was all over Holly for the cameras.

Holly Madison is using the oldest trick in the book to push Hugh >Hefner into marrying her. She’s been pressuring the ageing Playboy mogul for years because she wants a wedding and she wants children -not to mention financial security. Hef, who has yet to divorce his last wife, seemed to be loosening up on the baby angle because they were seen together a few months ago in the office of a fertility doctor. Apparently nothing came of it, and now Holly’s pulling out the big guns – in the form of a younger better looking guy: She’s making Hef jealous with Las Vegas illusionist Criss Angel. Of course, Holly and WE know that Criss is hardly boyfriend material and so far Hef doesn’t seem worried. It wouldn’t be easy for Holly to leave the luxurious Playboy mansion life. We wonder if she will. As for the other girls, they can be replaced and The Girls Next Door could continue.

Two reasons to be cautious when visiting MGM Grand’s new adults only Wet Republic: Wilmer Valderrama and Criss Angel. The brand new huge watery playground consists of two jumbo saltwater pools, plus waterfalls galore and king size “daybeds.” They even have an ankle deep wading pool/ bar. Add music and cocktails of the frozen variety and private bungalows and you have a potent combination. Just watch out for guys like this.

Criss Angel seems to be turning into quite a little tyrant in Las Vegas. His current girlfriend Veronica Grabowski, Miss Nevada USA, didn’t make it to the finals in the Miss USA pageant last weekend. The illusionist was so incensed in the audience that he made an obscene gesture at the NBC camera. Angel was also seething because local gossip columnist Norm Clarke had written something about him intimidating a judge in the contest. (Norm is noted for the eyepatch he wears for medical reasons.) Furious Criss chased Norm down after the show, yelling more obscenities, and cornered him, threatening “Don’t ever write another word about me – or you’ll need a patch on your other eye!”

Nobody was more disappointed when Pamela Anderson changed her mind about divorcing Rick Salomon than her exhusband Tommy Lee. Tommy and Pam’s other exhusband Kid Rock have something in common- they both hate Salomon. They think he’s a low-life and not right for Pam. Tommy loathes the idea of his kids spending time with Rick. Could it be more than a coincidence that Tommy’s close friend Criss Angel spent time with Pam in Las Vegas and most likely caused the blow-up that led Pam to file for divorce?

What did Criss Angel have to do with Pamela Anderson’s impulsive filing for divorce from Rick Salomon? Pam filed Friday and she was seen partying with Criss at LAX in Las Vegas on Saturday, according to Vegas columnist Norm Clarke. By Sunday, Pam and Rick had started reconciling. We can’t help but wonder if Criss was the CAUSE of the temporary bustup or just a shoulder for Pam to cry on. Somehow we feel he’s involved. And keep in mind, Criss is Tommy Lee’s new best friend.

Who’s the person most likely to profit from illusionist David Copperfield’s embarrassing legal woes? Up and coming (translate: hipper and younger) illusionist Criss Angel, of course. Since his legal problems started up, Copperfield has been losing bookings right and left. We imagine Criss’s phone must be ringing nonstop. Not that he needed any extra work. Ironically, Criss appears to be as much of a ladies man as Copperfield.

SCREAM AWARDS: TOMMY LEE AND CRISS ANGEL HAVE A LOT IN COMMON

Spike TV’s Scream Awards pulled in a surprisingly celebrity heavy crowd. The most talked about couple of the night was Tommy Lee and Criss Angel. They’re both Greek and they’ve become best friends, according to Tommy. Tommy was very affectionate to Criss – rubbing his back and hugging him “like a brother.” (Hmmm…does that mean no more Dave Navarro?) Tommy did turn his attention from Criss long enough to pounce on E.G. Daily. They found it “weird” that their kids are now step-brothers and sisters. (Tommy’s ex Pamela Anderson married E.G.’s ex Rick Salomon.) Observes noted that Tommy and Criss are starting to dress alike. They did, however, leave separately that night.

Las Vegas Illusionist Criss Angel is milking his MTV collaboration with Britney Spears to the absolute max. He inserts himself in every possible photo op with her. Criss, 39, and Brit, 25, both have the same manager, Jeff Kwatinetz of The Firm and Jeff masterminded their working together (and stirring up PR together.) There is NO romance, but Criss is enjoying the camera flashes and Britney might benefit from his magic at the MTV show – IF she shows up. Whether she’s “ready” won’t be decided until the LAST minute. By WHOM, we don’t know.

CRISS ANGEL FORGOT TO TELL CAMERON DIAZ HE WAS MARRIED

Looks like Cameron Diaz will rue the day she fell under the spell of magician Criss Angel. Cameron met Angel in Las Vegas where he was performing and they spent some documented time together. Little did Cameron suspect there was a private eye watching every move they made, and that he had been hired by Angel’s suspicious wife back on Long Island, New York! Criss, whose real name is Chris Sarantakos, kept his wife a “secret” after he hit it big with his TV show Mindfreak and moved to Las Vegas. The angry wife Joanne plans to subpoena Cameron to testify in divorce court.
