ARE WE JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS ABOUT CHRIS MARTIN AND DAKOTA JOHNSON?

Real estate can be deceiving in more ways than one. Recent headlines about Chris Martin, 43, and Dakota Johnson, 31, buying a Malibu house together are jumping the gun. It seems Chris and Dakota, who have been dating for three years, just moved into a posh Malibu home that was recently sold for 12.5 million. The house looks delightful – it’s 5338 sq ft and a short walk to the beach and shops. Observers are ASSUMING that Chris and Dakota bought it together in preparation for marriage. No one has seen any purchase documentation. Chris could have bought the house for himself (he has two kids with his ex, Gwyneth Paltrow) OR the unidentified buyer could have leased it to Chris. But everyone wants to see them engaged. Dakota already has her own mid-century modern house in LA that she loves, and it’s not for sale. Whatever is happening, they are a cute couple, engaged or not. Celebrities love winter in Aspen, partly because they can walk around all bundled up for the cold, and are rarely recognized. Coldplay singer Chris Martin took his daughter Apple (her mom is Gwyneth Paltrow) and his girlfriend Dakota Johnson shopping for Christmas, and they were pretty much ignored by other shoppers. Apple is fifteen and typically self-conscious – she gets upset when Gwyneth posts pictures of her without asking. Remember when Apple was born and her unusual name created a sensation? Now it seems perfectly normal! Lucky girl inherited the best traits from both parents…

DAKOTA JOHNSON’S LITTLE SISTER HAS HER EYE ON HOLLYWOOD

Antonio Banderas was honored at the Vanity Fair Awards in Madrid, and his daughter Stella del Carmen Banderas, 23, (with ex Melanie Griffith) was there to cheer him on. Cute Stella is the younger half-sister of Dakota Johnson – she was born in Spain and speaks Spanish, and aspires to an acting career like Dakota. She’s got a good start – Stella is dating Eli Meyer, the son on Ron Meyer, who happens to be Vice Chairman of NBC Universal.

DAKOTA JOHNSON LOOKS FIFTY SHADES SWEETER

Dakota Johnson has never stopped us in our tracks before, but she did in this dress. What a REFRESHING look for the Fifty Shades Darker star! No low necklines cut down to there, or side slits cut up to there. It’s pale pink and Victorian inspired by Gucci – sheer ruffled fabric with sleeves and a white collar. Interesting choice since she’s promoting her sexy movie in Madrid. Looks like it cost a fortune, but Dakota has never looked better. We only wish she had done something creative with her hair….

DAKOTA JOHNSON GOT HER WHOLE FAMILY TOGETHER

The world premier of How to be Single took place in New York and it turned out to be a family reunion for the movie’s star Dakota Johnson. Her brother Jesse, her mom Melanie Griffith, and her father Don Johnson all got together to celebrate with Dakota. The movie is a comedy about six single friends in Manhattan “sleeping around in the city that never sleeps.”

Heidi Klum, 42, is busy filming her series Germany’s Next Top Model in Los Angeles while her boyfriend Vito Schnabel, 29, is partying in New York, and was seen with Dakota Johnson. He and Dakota were photographed sitting next to each other at a West Village bar, looking quite friendly. Coincidentally, Dakota, 26, happens to have split with HER boyfriend in October. Since Heidi and Vito haven’t been seen together for over a month, people ARE talking. But Vito DOES prefer older women – some of his girlfriends have been decades older. So Dakota seems a bit young for him…

DAKOTA JOHNSON’S BROTHER JESSE IS STILL A STRUGGLING ACTOR

We don’t often get to see Dakota Johnson out with her half brother Jesse Johnson, but they both attended the LACMA Art & Film gala at the museum. Jesse, 32, is also an actor, and the son of Don Johnson and his ex-girlfriend Patti D’Arbanville. (Melanie Griffith has quite an extended family!) Not long ago, he appeared on the vampire TV series From Dusk Till Dawn and played a younger version of his father Don’s character. Jesse has yet to get lucky in a blockbuster movie role like Dakota, but he’s determined.

MELANIE GRIFFITH PRESIDES OVER ONE OF HOLLYWOOD’S FIRST FAMILIES

Who better can represent the women of Hollywood than three generations of successful actresses in one family? It all started with Tippi Hedren, 85, who was discovered by Alfred Hitchcock in the early 60’s to star in “The Birds.” Her daughter Melanie Griffith, 58, grew up and starred in two of our favorite movies – “Something Wild” and “Working Girl” – among many others. Not long ago, Melanie’s daughter with Don Johnson, Dakota Johnson, 26, burst into stardom with “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The family turned up at the Elle Women of Hollywood Awards to watch Dakota receive the “emerging star” award. Above, right, Dakota’s little sister Stella Banderas, 19, looks like she might follow in their footsteps.

WOULD YOU PAY TO SEE TWO SEQUELS OF FIFTY SHADES OF GREY?

Since “Fifty Shades of Grey” just passed the 500 million dollar mark internationally, the pressure is ON for a follow up. A rumor circulated that Jamie Dornan was NOT interested in doing a sequel, but that turned out NOT to be true. Money TALKS! Jamie only earned around $100,000 for the first “Shades”(and we assume Dakota Johnson earned a bit more) It’s rumored that he can expect to be paid around fifteen million for two sequels. Does the world really WANT two sequels? We were disappointed in the movie and wonder if many ticket buyers would do it again.

WE’RE BETTING DON JOHNSON DOES HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR

Don Johnson has been around long enough to know that sometimes no matter WHAT you say, you can’t win, and are better off keeping your mouth shut. He and his wife Kelly arrived at the airport and Don was bombarded with questions about what he thought of his daughter Dakota’s ISIS skit on Saturday Night Live. He refused to comment. We hope he loved it as much as we did and thought it was the funniest part of the show. People are becoming WAY too sensitive and “politically correct” – lighten up.
