#MeToo Denial Dogs Jeremy Piven Sexual Misconduct

THE STRANGE CASE OF JEREMY PIVEN

We absolutely LOVED Jeremy Piven’s series Mr Selfridge so we were disappointed when he was accused of sexual misconduct (some of it quite appalling) by several women. Piven jauntily called himself “collateral damage of #MeToo, and angrily denied everything. He even took – and passed- a lie detector test to clear himself. But when no less than 8 totally separate women came forward with misconduct claims that were eerily similar, his series, Wisdom of the Crowd, was cancelled. That absolute denial of ALL charges seemed to cook his goose. He’s still in denial, but doing okay – he’s been performing stand-up successfully and has no less that 5 films in postproduction.

JOHNNY DEPP IS A HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRE IN REAL LIFE (AMBER HEARD WAS RIGHT)

Rolling Stone’s startling interview with Johnny Depp (he’s obviously a fan of the publication) is revealing in SO many horrible ways. Depp is obviously In denial about his “compulsive spending disorder.” He spends an average of two million dollars a month – on maintaining 14 houses and ridiculously impulsive purchases that fill 12 large storage facilities. He blames his money managers for his financial problems. His behavior is alarming – Depp attempted to extract his own tooth in a London restaurant, while in the company of Penelope Cruz and Stella McCartney. His drug use and alcohol abuse rivals that of his debauched idol Hunter S Thompson and while acting, he has his lines fed into an earpiece like his other deceased self-indulgent idol, Marlon Brando. He sleeps all day and only lives by night – reminiscent of Elvis Presley’s last days….

LATOYA JACKSON INSISTS THAT SHE IS NOT MARRIED, AND WE BELIEVE HER!

We THOUGHT there was something fishy about La Toya Jackson suddenly marrying her manager and longtime companion Jeffre Phillips! RadarOnline announced that the unlikely pair wed on December 6 and even mentioned who was present at the “wedding.” (Hopefully, RadarOnline didn’t pay for THAT tip!) It took time, but La Toya finally got around to denying that any marriage took place! This weekend they were out together and Jeffre was walking BESIDE La Toya instead of BEHIND her, so maybe their relationship HAS changed!

BOO HOO: ROSIE O’DONNELL FEELS SORRY FOR CHRIS BROWN

Rosie O’Donnell is occasionally the voice of reason, but with Chris Brown she missed the boat. When she jumped to his defense after the window-breaking incident, she insisted “He’s a victim, too.” Rosie said “I just don’t know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anyone else.” (PERHAPS, Rosie, he does things most other people – especially celebrities- don’t do!) Rosie seems to blame everyone but Chris for his behavior- like Chris himself does. Why Rosie has a soft spot for violent behavior, we don’t know, but maybe her ex-girlfriend does.

KELSEY GRAMMER COULDN’T HAVE DROPPED BIGGER HINTS

One thing Camille Grammer doesn’t know how to do is take a hint. The more we hear about her marriage, the more we understand why her husband Kelsey wants a divorce ASAP. Camille admitted that she and her cross-dressing husband haven’t “been intimate” in TWO YEARS and that he was more interested in watching FOX news. Last year he announced that he was moving to New York WITHOUT HER to appear in a play. He had the time of his life and started keeping company with other Broadway actors and women. He also encouraged Camille to get involved with “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Camille remained in denial that her marriage was over until she saw photos of Kelsey with his new pregnant fiancee Kayte Walsh. Kelsey later remarked that he was starved for affection and has already sent out wedding invitations although his divorce isn’t final. He can’t get rid of Camille fast enough. And she never saw it coming.

Other prisoners are supposedly “in awe” of OJ Simpson at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada, but he doesn’t ALWAYS get what he wants. Sources say a group of gay prisoners nicknamed “The Girls” cater to the killer and gIve him massages whenever he’s in the mood. Recently OJ filed a request with the warden and asked to be allowed to watch both Monday night football games on TV after lights out “because he still holds the record for most yards gained in a season opener and it’s special to him.” Warden’s response: DENIED.

LINDSAY LOHAN’S “CONFESSION” DOESN’T FOOL US

Such a huge fuss is being made over the fact that Lindsay Lohan has ADMITTED “I failed my drug test.” (Along with other quotes provided by her lawyer) Her friends are saying this is a sign that Lindsay is taking responsibility for her actions. Actually she had no choice but to admit she failed the test or tests– it’s documented. What she’s still NOT admitting is that she’s DOING DRUGS. She always seems to be in denial about THAT.

Adderall Denial Drugs Lindsay Lohan Rehab Vanity Fair

WHETHER JAIL AND REHAB REALLY CHANGED LINDSAY LOHAN REMAINS TO BE SEEN

Lindsay Lohan looks great on the cover of Vanity Fair – the photo and interview were done a week before she was jailed and rehabbed. It’s worthy of note that in her interview, Lindsay insisted she has “never abused prescription drugs” and did not have a drinking problem. (Sure, we believe a “misdiagnosis” caused her to pop all those Adderall.) Oh, and she blamed her bad decisions and bad behavior on the fact that she had poor role models, like Britney – and her parents. It will be interesting to see if, in her first interview AFTER jail and rehab, (for which she will be paid a fortune) anything changes. Denial and blaming others are not good signs for recovery. Will she man up and takes responsibility for her own behavior?

EVEN REHAB CAN’T SAVE MEL GIBSON’S REPUTATION AND CAREER

Usually a long and seemingly sincere visit to rehab is the first step for Hollywood celebrities hoping to clear up their reputations – and it generally WORKS. People love to forgive. Mel Gibson’s handlers (what’s left of them) are certainly trying to talk him into rehab right now, but when the arrogant actor is in the throes of his addiction (to alcohol and possibly other substances) and he’s in denial. (Dr Drew of Celebrity Rehab is probably licking his chops as we write this.) Gibson has insulted and offended just about everyone – women, Jews, Latinos, gays, journalists, blacks, cops, non-Catholics, – and he’s already blown his chances for redemption. Rehab isn’t enough. We suggest he move back to Australia and live on a farm out of the limelight.
