He’s only been officially split from Shannon Elizabeth for two days and already Derek Hough is looking a little like a lonely guy. Derek and Shannon announced that their romance was over with matching tweet posts on Friday. He’s seen here skateboarding to a tanning salon. After a tanning session he meandered on wheels into The Grove.

Who would have guessed that “Dancing With The Stars” partners Shannon Elizabeth,35, and Derek Hough, 24, would still be together a year later? Certainly not In Touch magazine, which claimed the couple admitted their romance was faked to earn audience votes. In fact, Derek moved in with Shannon while they were competing and never left. Above, the playful pair shopped for household items in Target where they bought towels, closet fixtures and a welcome mat.

DEREK HOUGH LOVES THOSE DWTS FANS

The Ballas Hough band, which consists of Dancing With The Stars regulars Derek Hough and Mark Ballas, put on an athletic show at The Grove this week. Earlier in the week Derek was spotted by a DWTS fan they were standing in line together at Quiznos Sub Shop at Hollywood and Western. Derek was friendly and he and the fan chatted about the show, about Cloris Leachman, and other characters on the show, while waiting to order subs. When he reached the cashier, Derek insisted on paying for the fan’s sub, proving he’s the nice guy he seems to be.
