Dolph Lundgren

DID DOLPH LUNDGREN PULL A FAST ONE ?

Dolph Lundgren, 65, recently, married his 27 year old, personal trainer Emma Krokdal on the Greek island of Mykonos, where he has a villa. According to an insider, there is a reason the Swedish actor married in Greece – since neither he nor Emma are Greek citizens, their wedding is non-binding! According to Greek law, only Greek citizens who marry in the country have legal unions. So while Dolph is spiritually married to the much younger Emma, they still are not legally hitched! Our source says that Emma was none too happy when she discovered the marriage wasn’t valid, so now she’s strong-arming Dolph to marry her again, but this time in America.

DOLPH LUNDGREN IN PERSON

SOOO glad to hear that Dolph Lundgren has survived lung cancer after 8 years of treatment! He certainly didn’t look ill when I saw him a few years ago in Gelsen’s supermarket in West Hollywood. I was browsing in the produce department and saw the back of an extremely tall muscular man examining apples. Eventually he turned around, and I recognized Dolph Lundgren. Seeing him reminded me of all the hilarious druggy adventures I wrote about him and then-girlfriend Grace Jones back in the 80’s. (for Star Magazine) Dolph was just a bouncer at Limelight and SHE was the star at that time. I approached Dolph at Gelsens and introduced myself and he couldn’t have been nicer. We reminisced about those wild times and I told him how lucky he was that Sly Stallone, who was VERY sensitive about his height in those days, hired him, at 6’5″, as a Rocky costar, which launched his career. He IS a big blonde muscleman, but Dolph also seems to be a super nice and modest guy–

DOLPH LUNDGREN AND HIS BRIDE-TO-BE

Dolph Lundgren, 62, is careful to follow American regulations preventing Covid-19, even though his home country, Sweden, has minimal rules and no lockdown. It makes sense that he and his girlfriend Emma Krokdal were in Sweden where they could actually celebrate getting engaged in June. Emma, a personal trainer, is only 24 years old, and we can’t help but wonder what they have in common to talk about. After all, Dolph is not only a karate champ, but he has a masters degree in chemical engineering – making him considerably smarter than MOST actors…

Above, Dolph and Emma had lunch in Beverly Hills on July 4

DOLPH LUNDGREN: TOO BIG FOR HIS COBRA?

Dolph Lundgren attracted a lot of admiring glances when he left The Palm restaurant in Beverly Hills with a buddy. Phones came whipping out when Dolph hopped into his Shelby Cobra painted a delicious bright red. (If we never saw another grey car again, we’d be happy.) Since we know next to nothing about cars, we checked eBay and found a similar 1965 Cobra for sale for $120,000 or “best offer.” Why large men love tiny cars is a mystery, but it appears that Dolph could not fit his head in if the car had a convertible top!

DOLPH LUNDGREN IS HARD TO MISS – EVEN IN A SUPERMARKET

Dolph Lundgren is one of the most approachable celebrities in Hollywood. We noticed him nonchalantly checking out the fruit in the produce department at Gelson’s in West Hollywood and introduced ourselves. We told him we wrote for Star Magazine in the 80’s and 90’s and took delight in writing about his New York adventures as a bouncer at The Limelight and with Grace Jones etc in those wild years. He was really sweet and charming and got a kick out of reminiscing. Dolph is on a roll right now – he’s in Aquaman and Creed II – and yes, he looks great… (By the way, he really IS 6’5″)

DOLPH LUNDGREN IS NO CRADLE ROBBER

Dolph Lundgren’s date for the European premier of Creed II is NOT age inappropriate – but actually his sixteen year old daughter Greta. (Dolph has two tall pretty daughters with his ex-wife Anette Quivberg) The 6’5” Lundgren, 61, has made a decent living playing some form of hulking brute in forgettable action films, but he’s much smarter than he looks. Dolph has a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney. He was “discovered” by Grace Jones and she steered him toward acting.

THE EXPENDABLES: TOO MUCH TESTOSTERONE?

Mickey_Rourke_856566acutSylvester Stallone is just finishing up his movie “The Expendables” which he wrote, directs, and stars in. (Consequently, you can expect many shots of his ripped torso.) Above, Mickey Rourke is tattooing Sly in a still from the movie. As we told you, the story is about a secret plot by several nations to overthrow a dangerous South American dictator. The best mercenaries from around the world are hired to do the deed and they are played by tough guys Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Jet Li, among others. Bruce Willis is also in the film and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is supposedly making a surprise appearance. It’s an 80’s style action extravaganza!

Sylvester Stallone is all pumped up and ready to start filming “The Expendables” which he wrote, will star in, and direct. It’s about an international team of mercenaries whose secret mission is to assassinate an evil South American dictator. And what a cast: besides Stallone, there’s Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Eric Roberts, and possibly Arnold Schwarzenegger and 50 Cent. It sounds like those “Dirty Dozen”/”Magnificent Seven” movies from the 60’s.

DOLPH LUNDGREN: LONG TIME NO SEE

Here’s a face we haven’t seen for awhile and Dolph Lundgren is still looking good. (Above he was photographed at Koi.) He seems to make a lot of European movies and straight to video films but he’s kept busy through the years. Remember, Grace Jones discovered the Swedish hunk when he was a doorman at a New York club and Sylvester Stallone cast him in a Rocky movie in the late eighties.
