DON JOHNSON WANTS YOU TO READ HIS T-SHIRT

Knives Out star Don Johnson was a major fashion influence on Miami Vice in the 80’s and he hopes to influence you to vote this year. Don’s character on the show, Sonny Crockett, wore pastel linen suits (sleeves pushed up) with t-shirts and no socks. He also popularized “designer stubble” and Rolex watches. Director Michael Mann made Miami look glamorous and cool. In fact, after Miami Vice ended, the city of Miami blossomed and became THE place to party and vacation. Don, now 70, and looking good, has simplified his wardrobe and gets right to the point these days…

DON JOHNSON STILL HAS WHAT IT TAKES

Miami Vice bad boy Don Johnson, 69, has grown into quite an attractive mature man – especially since he shaved off those grey whiskers. Don made his mark in the 80’s playing Crockett, a Miami cop who wore Versace suits with no socks. Johnson was catnip for numerous Hollywood actresses, including Barbra Streisand, and he got married several times. He walked away with a lot of money from his Nash Bridges TV series, and has been married to Kelley Phleger since 1999. He’s at the London premier of his new movie Knives Out, which is getting stellar reviews. Don is living proof that you can lead a wild life and end up still looking good…

DON JOHNSON HAS A NEW VICE

Looks like the Toronto Film Festival is loaded with attractive men of a certain age. Don Johnson is looking Miami Vice hot as he does interviews about his new film, Knives Out, that debuted there. The film stars Daniel Craig and Don plays a spoiled white guy from a wealthy family and, yeah, he’s got the look…

DON JOHNSON: DO I HAVE TIME FOR A HAIRCUT?

Don Johnson and his wife of almost 20 years, Kelley Phleger, are standing outside of a Beverly Hills salon making plans for the afternoon. Back in the 80’s, handsome Don was an impossible ladies man and very difficult to work with. When he met Kelley in the late 90’s he gave up his heavy drinking and carousing, and they settled down and had 3 kids. He’s still slim and good looking and works steadily – Don has two movies coming out in 2018.

DON JOHNSON AND CINDY CRAWFORD: TOGETHER FOR MAYBE THE FIRST TIME

It’s that awkward moment when you find yourself waiting a long time for the valet to bring your car and you’re standing next to someone significant and aren’t sure what to say. We bet Cindy Crawford had a little crush on Miami Vice star Don Johnson when she was a teen. Most people did. Five years after the series ended, Cindy was named the highest paid model on the planet, and certainly caught Don’s attention. Time goes by. Now here they are together with their significant others nowhere in sight. It wasn’t long before they were chatting and smiling. By the way, they were both in the process of leaving a Revlon charity event at the Chateau Marmont, hence the gift bag.

DON JOHNSON’S LIFE TURNED OUT BETTER THAN ANYONE EXPECTED

Don Johnson and his wife Kelley Phleger are in Paris while his daughter Dakota JohnsonDON JOHNSON is there filming passionate scenes for Fifty Shades Darker in a hotel near the Eiffel Tower. He doesn’t visit the set WHILE she’s working – they get together later. Miami Vice star Don has been happily married to Kelley for a surprisingly long time – 17 years – and they have 3 kids together. We remember back in the day when Don was between wives and he and Barbra Streisand had a big romance! Imagine that! They even recorded a song together. We didn’t expect THAT one to last. Don starred last year in the prime time soap “Blood & Oil” and – who knew – he’s considered to be one of the wealthiest actors in Hollywood!

We don’t often get to see Dakota Johnson out with her half brother Jesse Johnson, but they both attended the LACMA Art & Film gala at the museum. Jesse, 32, is also an actor, and the son of Don Johnson and his ex-girlfriend Patti D’Arbanville. (Melanie Griffith has quite an extended family!) Not long ago, he appeared on the vampire TV series From Dusk Till Dawn and played a younger version of his father Don’s character. Jesse has yet to get lucky in a blockbuster movie role like Dakota, but he’s determined.

WE’RE BETTING DON JOHNSON DOES HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR

AG062694_08don

Don Johnson has been around long enough to know that sometimes no matter WHAT you say, you can’t win, and are better off keeping your mouth shut. He and his wife Kelly arrived at the airport and Don was bombarded with questions about what he thought of his daughter Dakota’s ISIS skit on Saturday Night Live. He refused to comment. We hope he loved it as much as we did and thought it was the funniest part of the show. People are becoming WAY too sensitive and “politically correct” – lighten up.

DON JOHNSON: NO GO FOR “MANN’S WORLD”

Don Johnson is reportedly in shock – and so are we. His NBC dramedy “Mann’s World” was NOT picked up by the network! It seemed like a slam-dunk. The show was about a flirtatious hairdresser in his 50’s struggling to compete in youth –oriented Beverly Hills. Don’s character was loosely based on Warren Beatty’s hairdresser in “Shampoo.” The show was created by “Sex & the City” creator Michael Patrick King. NBC executives just weren’t impressed with the pilot and passed on the show. (Above, Don and his wife Kelley are pictured leaving a Prince concert.)
