LILY JAMES TRANSITIONS FROM DOWNTON ABBEY TO BAYWATCH

First time we saw UK actress Lily James (top photo) she was playing Lady Rose on Downton Abbey. Imagine our surprise when we realized she is now starring as Playboy icon/Baywatch star Pamela Anderson in the Hulu miniseries Pam & Tommy. We never would have guessed she could look SO much like Pam. Hopefully Pam & Tommy is comedic because we remember their relationship so well and they always seemed to be having a good time. Pam and the Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee were only married for four years, but they were a power couple in the 90’s. Whenever they showed up together at an event there was a huge fuss and a paparazzi frenzy. They were famous for their crazy quotes and extreme fashions. Fun while it lasted.

GEORGE CLOONEY AND AMAL ALAMUDDIN: DOWNTON ABBEY WEDDING?

Brits are all aflutter since George Clooney surprised his fiancée Amal Alamuddin with a tour of the Highclere Castle where Downton Abbey is filmed. It’s the only TV series Amal cares about and she was captivated by the private tour. Of course the British papers are now speculating that this will be their wedding venue. The castle and fabulous grounds can be rented for weddings and prices start at $25000 and go WAY up, depending on the frills. It’s predicted that George and Amal will wed in September – a year after they met.

Dan Stevens Downton Abbey

DOWNTON ABBEY’S DAN STEVENS IS JUST A REGULAR GUY NOW

Post-holiday life goes nearly back to normal tonight (January 5) when Downton Abbey returns to PBS. Normal, except for the loss of blue-eyed actor Dan Stevens who played Lady Mary’s now-late husband. He was one of the most adored characters on the show, but Stevens chose to leave for movie opportunities. Ironically, he is now living in Brooklyn and shooting “Night at the Museum 3” (talk about a reality check.) He says he is curious about what will become of Mary and will be watching with the rest of America tonight.

DAN STEVENS: THE OLD AND THE NEW

Which Dan Stevens do you prefer? UK actor Stevens, 30, played Matthew Crawley on the much adored series Downton Abbey and always filled out his military uniform beautifully. Now that he’s off the show and moved on, he does have quite a different and somewhat slimmer look. Of course, he’s in Hollywood making movies now so that might explain the metamorphosis. He’s now filming The Fifth Estate movie about Julian Asange. Actually, both Dans have their charms…
