Margot Robbie is fed up with dressing like a doll. The Barbie star has appeared at countless promotional events dressed in some of Barbie’s most iconic costumes, and as we reported in July, she negotiated to KEEP all of the outfits and plans to auction them off for charity later. Margot showed up at The Golden Globes dressed in a pink sequined gown, which duplicated an iconic Barbie look, but she didn’t win the best actress award as many predicted. Margot is still hoping to get nominated for an Academy Award for the role but she’s already telling friends if she DOES score an Oscar nomination, she doesn’t want to show up to that event looking like Barbie. Our source explained that Margot is grateful for her film’s success, but now feels the gimmick has gotten stale and she wants her own style back. Can’t blame her…

It’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind and that’s exactly what Chrissy Teigen did. We had the exclusive scoop about Chrissy and John Legend‘s wedding renewal ceremony in Lake Como, writing about it days before TMZ, People and Page 6. Our well-informed source blabbed about Chrissy’s plan to wear a RED gown to the renewal ceremony even though she instructed all of her guests to wear black and white – so SHE would really stand out. At the last minute, Chrissy realized it might NOT be a great idea. The LAST thing she wanted was to face any backlash because she was ALMOST canceled when some of her past tweets resurfaced. Long story short, Chrissy opted to play it safe and wore the black gown she packed as a back up. Smart move. The good news is she’s keeping the red gowns so you’ll see her as the lady in red in the future.

RACHEL BROSNAHAN’S HUSBAND HAS NO PROBLEM WEARING A DRESS

Rachel Brosnahan’s husband really got into the spirit of the GLAAD Media Awards. The Marvelous Mrs Maisel star looks a bit doubtful, but hubby looks delighted with himself in the red chiffon gown he wore under his evening jacket. Rachel is an advocate for the LGBTQ community and GLAAD recognizes inclusive members of the media. We didn’t realize that Rachel’s husband, actor Jason Ralph, had such a sense of humor about himself that he can enjoy wearing a dress. It’s nice to see a guy not obsessed with his masculinity.

LENA DUNHAM AT THE EMMYS: PRETTY DRESS ON THE WRONG PERSON

We needed a few days to think about Lena Dunham’s Emmy outfit. The fashion press and Twitter commenters immediately lambasted her for daring to dress up “like Bo Peep.” Polite journalists described her look as “interesting.” Actually her Giambattista Valli dress was quite beautiful – it was a sweet little pink silk blouse tucked into a huge frothy layered pink skirt. But Lena didn’t show it off properly. She simply had the wrong body for that ensemble. It would have been dramatic on a tall skinny model but Lena is too round and short waisted for that particular look. WHAT IS KIM KARDASHIAN TRYING TO SAY WITH THIS DRESS?

Looks like Kim Kardashian is trying to tell us something with this unusual dress. She wore this frock when she had lunch at Craig’s with her mother. Granted, it’s nice to see her NOT wearing a seam-busting tight and revealing mini dress with 8 inch heels, but this is a real surprise! It’s almost Amish or Hasidic looking. Three quarter sleeves, high neck and a full length maxi skirt. Is Kim dropping a hint that she’s pregnant again? Or maybe she figures that if she dresses plain, paparazzi won’t follow her.
