ASHLEY JUDD IS EARNING A DOCTOR’S DEGREE – AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ACTING!

Ashley Judd is clearly preparing herself for a political career and we’re all for it. What the world of politics needs most of all is more women. Being an actress can be a hindrance and a help. Judd has a famous and likeable face, but her political capabilities are untested. (She has already established herself as a political activist and humanitarian.) But she has been quietly preparing herself for the right moment – most likely to run for the Senate in her home state of Kentucky. She earned a masters degree from the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and is now enrolled in the Ph.D program at UC Berkeley. Her stellar education will more than make up for her lack of political experience. She’s got our vote!

Last night Kendall Jenner proved what we always suspected – that the Kardashians ARE borderline illiterate. She was supposed to make an introduction on the Billboard Awards and her words made absolutely no sense. She admitted that she’s “the worst reader.” Imagine being unable to read a teleprompter! THAT’S how uneducated she is. Like the Osbournes, the Kardashians and Jenners have plenty of money and don’t care if their kids get an education. Every time we hear Kim use the word “I” incorrectly instead of “ME,” we cringe. Example: “Mom invited Khloe and I to the movies.” WRONG. The grammatically correct statement is “Mom invited Khloe and ME to the movies.” Lack of education always rears its ugly head.

As much as we admire Beyonce, we have to admit Wendy Williams is NOT wrong when she says Beyonce “can’t talk” and sounds like she has a fifth grade education. Beyonce fans are outraged, but take a look at Michael Jackson– his singing and dancing talent was unmatched, but his lack of education made him an awkward and childlike conversationalist. Beyonce concentrated on dancing and singing in school and always had other people taking care of her and her career – first her parents, followed by Jay-Z. At 31, she still sounds like a shy and breathy little girl. So Beyonce will never be offered her own talk show (she’d probably panic at the idea anyway) and Wendy, who CAN talk, has a perfect right to her own opinion.

We’ve been increasingly suspicious about Tyra Banks’ claims that she recently graduated from Harvard Business School. Since she never got a bachelor’s degree from any college, how did she get into Harvard to pursue an MBA? Turns out, she didn’t. Jezebel exposed her exaggeration. Actually Tyra didn’t get a diploma- she got a certificate of completion for finishing a nine week non-degree EXTENSION business course which has NO requirements for formal education and does not count toward any type of degree. An MBA takes qualification and two years of studying. Tyra IS smart, but she didn’t graduate from Harvard.

Hold on! We actually have something POSITIVE to post regarding the Kardashian family! One of them has come to his senses and opted to get an education! Rob was runner-up on “Dancing With the Stars,” and we feared that would be the highlight of his life. But he’s put aside the usual Kardashian options of fame cultivating and name-selling, and tweeted that he has registered at USC this fall to earn a law degree. Rob graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2009 and just drifted since then. He’s following in his father’s successful, but not-so-glorious footsteps, thanks to his defense of OJ Simpson. This is the first good news we’ve had from the Kardashian Kamp in quite awhile. Nice work, Rob.

We were NOT completely surprised by the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes split that was announced today because it was inevitable. It’s all about Suri. She just turned six and it’s time for major educational decisions to be made. So far, she’s been homeschooled by Tom’s two Scientology sisters who always live nearby, and they also tutored his other two children. Katie’s not happy with that. She wants Suri to have the same memorable school and educational experiences that SHE had, and be more of a normal kid. She can see that Tom’s other children are hampered by their minimal education. Katie’s lawyer announced that “Katie’s concern is her daughter‘s best interest.” And she means it. Katie and Suri were surrounded by Tom’s Scientology family and all their Scientology housekeepers, bodyguards, nannies, etc. every day – she rarely spent time with her husband alone. That’s not the world she wants Suri to grow up in.

This is the Michael Jackson letter that Lisa Marie Presley pulled OFF the auction block at Julien’s Auctions this week and we can imagine why. The note was written to Lisa Marie somewhere between 1993 and 1996 when Michael was around 36 years old and it is a sad illustration of the results of home schooling. Michael wrote at the level of a ten year old boy. The abysmal grammar, punctuation, spelling, and most of all – the HANDWRITING – are shocking and embarrassing for a grown man. His lack of education was tragic and Lisa Marie’s probably isn’t much better. Fortunately, Michael’s own children are not following in his footsteps.

When Hayden Pannetierre was going out with Ukrainian boxing champ Wladimir Klitschko, we confess we wondered what she saw in the 6’6” behemoth. Bigtime boxers have plenty of money, but usually not a lot of sense. We were surprised to learn that 35 year old Wladimir is part of a new breed of fighters. They’re not poor guys from the wrong side of the tracks, but educated and cultured. Besides being easy on the eyes, Klitschko speaks five languages and he earned a PHD at Kiev University in 2001. Now THAT’S what we call a well rounded athlete.

So the fact that she’s written a book, HERSELF, is a lot more believable. Her education became an issue now that she’s promoting her book “The Rules According to JWOWW.” Jenni’s brainy “secret” is out!

Ashley Judd is beaming with pride since her racing car driver husband Dario Franchitti won the Indy 300 Championship in Florida. It must be nerve-wracking to watch him roaring around the track at 213 MPH. If you wonder what Ashley’s been up to – she divides her time between their farm in Kentucky and their home in Scotland. She also went back to school and earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration (she does a lot of volunteer charity work.)
