Remember at the beginning of this year when James Woods made a fuss over the fact that Melania Trump, a former model and the most beautiful of all first ladies, has NEVER been featured on an American style magazine cover during her husband’s four years in office? In her eight years as First Lady, Michelle Obama had 12 magazine covers, including 3 times on Vogue. When we saw this Kamala Harris Elle magazine cover just released, we got the feeling “this is the start of something BIG” and it seems so right…

“The fact is we have a president who is a sexual harasser and was clearly [recorded] on tape admitting that; it shows that a third of the country still thinks this is either inevitable or okay, including 51 percent of white women [with college degrees]. I don’t want to overgeneralize, but these are women who are dependent on a man’s income and men’s identities, and they think there’s no choice. They think all men are like this. And their fathers were like this, probably. I think they looked at Hillary and said, ‘How dare she? She’s just a woman like me. How dare she aspire?’”

WILL THE REAL KERRY WASHINGTON PLEASE STEP FORWARD

How did Lucky magazine manage to make Kerry Washington look like a whole other person on their new cover? Not to mention WHY? You’d think they’d want the gorgeous Scandal star to be an immediately recognizable cover girl, but people are asking “Who IS this?” The bottom photo is from Elle and it happened to be taken in our own Tiki cabana.

DEMI AND JESSICA: WHO WANTS TO LOOK AT NUDE PREGNANT WOMEN?

Twenty years ago we were turned OFF by Demi Moore’s nude and pregnant cover of Vanity Fair. Yet it seemed to open the doors for every pregnant celebrity to flaunt their expectant bellies and angelic faces on various magazine covers. Most recently we had to endure seeing Jessica Simpson on the cover of Elle. Pregnancy does not become her – she looks enormous and uncomfortable with her clothes ON. Apparently such covers are circulation boosters – but we want to know WHO enjoys looking at them? Your comments are welcome!

Barbra Streisand Elle Photoshop?

BARBRA STREISAND’S ELLE COVER PHOTO: WORTH THE AGGRAVATION

We know how controlling Barbra Streisand can be, so we can imagine what Elle magazine went through to get her on the cover. Barbra, 69, is extremely fussy about lighting and the angle at which she is photographed. That’s why some of her movies took SOOO long to make. But the end result is pretty impressive. Streisand is on the cover of Elle’s “Women in Hollywood 2011” issue coming out this month and she’s never looked better. Sadly, Barbra’s former manager and onetime best friend Sue Mengers died this weekend.
