HOT FELON JEREMY MEEKS AND CHLOE GREEN CLEANED UP A BEACH

Our favorite couple, heiress Chloe Green and ‘Hot Felon” Jeremy Meeks, want to show you that they are not without a conscience. They were cruising the Mediterranean in her father’s huge yacht when they docked at a beautiful cove littered with mostly plastic trash. Instead of simply moving on, they took action and organized a massive clean-up with other beach-goers. They ended up with 20 trash bags of rubbish piled on their boat, which they properly disposed of. The couple posted this photo to prove they care about the environment and encouraged others to do the same. In other words, “don’t hate us because we’re rich and beautiful!”

LEONARDO DICAPRIO: “CARELESSLY MASCULINE” OR COMMON SLOB?

He may LOOK like just another dopey guy on the street with his cargo shorts and baseball cap, but in spite of the PLASTIC bag tied to his sagging pants, Leonardo DiCaprio, 42, does more than just talk about saving the environment. With partners, he bought a 104 acre island off Belize that has been depleted of plants and fish. The investors plan to restore and replant the island and build a lush but environmentally friendly and sustainable resort there. They hope it will become a showcase and model for the future. It’s an expensive proposition, but Leo and friends aim to open the resort next year.

Environmentalist! Hypocrite Leonardo DiCaprio

LEONARDO DICAPRIO FLIES BY PRIVATE JET, BUT HE WANTS US TO CONSERVE FUEL!

We had to laugh at the National Enquirer story accusing Leonardo DiCaprio of “Oscar worthy hypocrisy” when it comes to saving the planet. In his Oscar acceptance speech Leo rambled on about climate change and the need for everyone to work together. (Meaning everyone but HIMSELF!) The Enquirer quoted Leo as saying “Our planet cannot be saved unless we leave fossil fuels in the ground where they belong!” Yet Leo doesn’t give up his OWN comforts. The tabloid pointed out that Leo consistently flies by PRIVATE JET and frequently is seen lounging on gigantic yachts that guzzle enormous quantities of fuel. Of course he owns huge homes and properties in New York and LA that use massive amounts of water and electricity. But he cares about the environment, so he wants US to conserve!

NOBODY swings a gown around better than Gisele Bundchen. She’s at the Rainforest Gala at the Museum of Natural History in New York and looks very appropriate in her eco-friendly hemp gown. Gisele, 33, considers herself an environmentalist and her pet projects are clean water and saving the rainforests. But would a REAL environmentalist build an absurdly gigantic 14,000 sq ft house like she and Tom Brady built in California? (for a family of four)

U2’S THE EDGE IS NOT THE ENVIRONMENTALIST HE CLAIMS TO BE

U2 guitarist the Edge is the most hated man in Santa Monica, California, these days. He plans to build FIVE multilevel mansions on precious undeveloped coastal habitat land in the Santa Monica mountains, overlooking Malibu. Experts and neighbors are concerned about the visual and biological impact because the homes will break up a large block of treasured and nearly pristine wild life. The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy board objected loudly UNTIL Edge changed their mind. How? He donated a million dollars to the conservancy and now they don’t object. The really nauseating part is that the Edge insists his houses will be “environmentally sensitive.” That is supposed to make everything all right.

ADRIAN GRENIER TOOK THE EASY WAY OUT

Adrian Grenier is quick to give us advice on how to save power and conserve resources on his show “Alter Eco” on the Planet Green channel, but maybe he needs to take his own advice. Last weekend he was partying at the 5 gum House of Hype party at the Riviera Hotel in Palm Springs. Many of the partygoers planned to drive to Coachella, which is an hour away by Prius, that evening. When Adrian learned that VIP’s were being offered private helicopter rides to Coachella, he passed on driving with a car full of friends, and flew instead. Not exactly a green decision.
