Sourthwest Airlines passengers at Burbank airport were surprised to see Eva Longoria on their budget flight to Phoenix and she was ALONE and schlepping her own luggage. An airport employee asked for a photo and Eva happily complied. Then she told the employee that she had an “odd request.” Can you give me a DOLLAR?” Eva explained that she wanted to buy a Snickers candy bar in the machine and had no change. The employee insisted on buying her the candy bar and also presented her with some trail mix because it was “healthier.” Observers say Eva was sweet and friendly to all.

We’re wondering if this picture will inspire one of the tabloids to run the headline they used to recycle every time a married actress got her hair cut: “EVA LONGORIA CHOPS OFF HER HAIR TO SAVE HER MARRIAGE.” They had to do SOMETHING to liven up a simple haircut. How shorter hair could save a marriage remains a mystery only the Enquirer could solve.

Eva Longoria knows that Desperate Housewives won’t last forever, so she’s making hay while the sun shines. That includes doing ads in any country that’s interested. Apparently Eva is hot in Germany and they use her to sell their chocolate dipped premium ice cream bars. Yum.

Each spring, Anna Wintour, the terrifying editor of Vogue, has an extravagant party – the Met’s Costume Institute Gala – and everybody dresses to kill. This year Anna declared the theme was “superheroes” (whatever THAT means) and strongly advised invitees to dress accordingly. She ordered all her Vogue staffers to wear white or silver. Faced with this dilemma, stars’ imaginations scattered in all directions.
Scarlett Johansson and Janet Jackson played it safe by wearing white. Scarlett is adorable in her “ballerina gone bad” outfit – especially since it’s accessorized with her new engagement ring from Ryan Reynolds. Janet’s dress is not that interesting or original but her skin looks gorgeous next to white.
This Olsen Twins photo is noteworthy most of all because they are BOTH SMILING! Ashley and Mary-Kate are starting to look less and less alike. We love the sheer frivolity of Eva Longoria’s bold purple pleated silk gown with a train- now THAT’S a party dress!

Eva Longoria Parker looks sweet walking out of Barneys and we’re amazed that she maneuvers so gracefully in those noteworthy sky high wedgie shoes. They’re about the same height as the clear lucite stripper shoes that Shauna Sand wears, but a whole lot more subtle. Eva never stumbles and these are at least six inches high.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker was shopping at The Beverly Center and yakking on the phone with her husband Tony, who was out of town. Eva kept telling him she was “starving” and couldn’t fiqure out what to eat. “I’m on a diet – I can’t eat that!” She told him. “We’re back to work next week and I don’t want Teri to get all the best clothes this year!” Then she looked around and realized people were eavesdropping on her conversation. Eva giggled, saying “I’m just kidding, guys!” She exchanged I love yous with Tony and hung up quickly.

NAUGHTY EVA LONGORIA SHOPS IN BORROWED SHOES

Eva Longoria was shopping on Melrose Avenue recently when her heel broke. She went into a store and they offered to fix it with super glue. Grateful Eva explained se really felt guilty because she had borrowed the shoes from the Desperate Housewives set and the wardrobe person was kind enough to look the other way. (Lending wardrobe clothing is frowned upon.) Eva laughed that the last time she borrowed a dress from the show, she broke the zipper and had to get it fixed so the wardrobe people wouldn’t get in trouble. The salesclerk asked if she planned to replace the shoes and Eva joked “No way- it’s glued now and if it breaks on the set I’ll just act surprised!”

They’re BAAAAACK! The honeymoon is over for Eva Longoria and Tony Parker. They were seen having lunch at Café Med on Sunset as if that extravaganza of a wedding had never happened. Eva says they spend DAYS on their island honeymoon where they were totally alone together and barely spoke to another person. Tony says he’s adjusting to being with someone popular who enjoys publicity and doesn’t mind paparazzi. “It’s not as bad as Brad Pitt or Britney Spears” he allows.

Here’s Eva Longoria walking out of Ken Paves salon yesterday after a FOUR HOUR session of getting her hair done. One thing about Eva – she seems to be TOTALLY enjoying al the fuss over her upcoming wedding. Every little detail from rings to dresses etc is being examined by the press and Eva could care less. She really seems happy.

Alicia Silverstone got her hair done at Ken Paves salon on the same day as Eva, and HER entire process only took ONE hour, proving she is a low maintenance no-nonsense kind of girl. Her vegan diet is apparently keeping her slim. We love that Alicia is an animal activist, but if she’d separate herself from that cultish PETA, we’d like her even better.

Eva Longoria showed up at the opening of Ken Paves comfy new salon on Robertson Friday night and she announced that she was” tired of being blonde” and planned to go back to her natural color soon. She was chatty and peppy and you’d never guess she was on the outs with her boyfriend Tony Parker. No moping here. Between Jessica Simpson’s boy problems and now Eva’s possible bustup, we can imagine that Ken is getting an earful. And we’re jealous.
