Two people who are famous because they’re related to successful celebrities are getting married. And it looks like a good match. Ashlee Simpson, 29, lives in the shadow of her absurdly successful sister Jessica Simpson, whose business ventures earn billions. Aspiring actor Evan Ross, 25, is the son of Diana Ross and took HER last name to help him in Hollywood. Ashlee had plastic surgery to look more like her sister. So Ashlee and Evan already have something in common. They just got engaged and announced it on Twitter with the photo above. Ashlee was previously married to Pete Wentz and they have a son, this is Evan’s first marriage. Joe Simpson is probably already thinking about the pre-nup.

It’s nice to see Diana Ross out and about – she celebrated her son Evan Ross’s 22nd birthday at Voyeur on Friday night. Evan, whose father is Norwegian businessman Arne Naess, chose to use his mother’s last name (like Melissa Rivers) because it has more clout in Hollywood. It must be working – he has a lingerie model girlfriend, Cora Skinner, (above) and roles in about five movies coming out this year.

Evan is with his lingerie model girlfriend Cora Skinner – he was not denying rumors in April that they were secretly married, but it doesn’t seem to be true. He DOES, however, have five or six movies coming out soon.

Nope, it’s not a romance. Rumer Willis was seen dashing out of S-Bar and getting into a car with Evan Ross, but the two are simply friends, according to insiders. Evan, who happens to be Diana Ross’s son, has been working nonstop and has half a dozen movies coming out this year. The idea of second generation Hollywood kids dating IS fun, but it’s not happening here. Yes, he loves the limelight, but the notion that he and Rumer are more than friends is simply that – a rumor.
