JERMAINE JACKSON: “I AM THE NEXT MICHAEL JACKSON”

The Jackson family looked perfectly civil at Michael’s funeral but we hear that behind closed doors they’re furiously battling over money. Everybody wants to cash in and the brothers are at each other’s throats- with Jermaine’s ego turning into a huge problem. Shortly after Michael died, Steve Wynn offered the late Danny Gans’ empty Las Vegas showroom to the remaining Jackson brothers and wanted them to prepare a long running show. They could have taken in 80 million dollars just the first year if was a success. The brothers were psyched to do it but Jermaine decided HE should be paid WAY more than the others. Bickering ensued and Jermaine told shocked producers “ I am the next Michael Jackson and I will be paid accordingly!” Producers just laughed and gave up the whole idea. Timing IS important and last we heard the Jackson brothers were pitching their act to the small time lounges in Las Vegas.

SMOOTH SAILING FOR JESUS AND MADONNA

Just when you start to think Jesus Luz is on his way OUT of Madonna’s inner circle, he pops up looking more entrenched than ever. There were rumors that Madonna was tiring of Jesus, and that she was setting him up with model agencies and jobs to keep him working and out of her hair. Apparently not. She took him on her concert tour of Europe and they were photographed enjoying a boat ride with her kids Mercy and David in Portofino, Italy, looking like a happy family. Posted by

Woody Allen took his family, including his wife Soon-Yi, his sister Letty, and his two daughters Bechet and Manzie, for a walk on the Champs-Elysees. They were headed toward the Grand Palais Museum and the Picasso exhibition. It used to be nearly impossible to pry Woody out of his beloved New York City, now he spends half his time in Europe.

A magazine in the UK says that this is a photo of Madonna’s younger sister Melanie who is now 46. Apparently Madonna is estranged from Melanie, along with her other siblings, because they failed to embrace Kabbalah. The photo was taken at Radio Shack in Pasadena and we think there IS a resemblance, don’t you?

A CATFIGHT OVER PETER FALK'S FORTUNE

There’s more to this Peter Falk story than meets the eye. The 81 year old Columbo star’s daughter Catherine wants power of attorney because she claims he’s impaired by Alzheimer’s and is unable to manage his finances or to “resist fraud.” (Catherine is Falk’s daughter with his first wife.) Meanwhile Falk’s second wife of over thirty years, actress Shera Danese, has been oddly silent. Catherine and her father have had an odd relationship – in fact she sued him in 1992, claiming he didn’t pay her college tuition. (they settled) Falk is much older than his wife Shera and around twenty years ago we heard that she told him that she was bored and tired of staying home and wanted a divorce. He begged her not to leave and HE moved into the guest house until she cooled off. They eventually reconciled. But we sense a huge battle brewing between Catherine and Shera about who should control the money.

It’s the Nicolas Cage family holiday picture. The family got together in Vienna, Austria where Nic is filming “Season of the Witch.” (It’s about 14th century monks who harbor a suspected witch in their monastery.)They all went to a theater there to see the opera “The Rake’s Progress.” Above are Alice Kim, Nic, his son Weston and Weston’s girlfriend. Apparently Weston takes after his mother Christina Fulton in the hair department.

Back in the 80’s, Judy Landers was the quintessential dumb blonde on TV shows like Vegas, The Love Boat, and Fantasy Island. Now she’s got two daughters, Kristy and Lindsey, with lots of the same blonde hair, pink lipgloss, and augmented cleavage, and we have to assume they’re second generation aspiring actresses. The extended family of Bruce Willis never ceases to amaze us. He gets along great with Demi’s husband Ashton Kutcher, and apparently Demi is fine with Bruce’s girlfriend Emma Heming, even though she looks eerily like a slightly younger version of Demi. They all showed up for the NY premier if Demi’s new movie “Flawless” and we heard photographers had a hard time telling Demi and Emma apart. But everybody recognized Tallulah.
