Halle Berry took her mother to lunch at Il Piccolino on Robertson and she knows how to get prompt and excellent service from the valet parking attendant. Halle tipped $20 and she WASN’T driving a Bentley or Lamborghini. She doesn’t mind wearing the same jacket twice in one week, either.

Apparently she doesn’t mind being looked at, because this is how Cher struts through the airport – in a white cowgirl hat and boyfriend jeans. It’s not one of our favorite fashion moments, but Cher herself looks great – even if her face is tanner than her feet. Speaking of boyfriends, she WAS seen this summer in Malibu with her 24 years younger biker boyfriend Tim Medved. – so THAT might still be happening. Good for her.

Rod Stewart can completely disappear when he walks behind his statuesque wife Penny in Beverly Hills. When he steps away, we can appreciate his style. Lots of celebrities (including Rod’s wife) go to Beverly Hills in their casual sweats but Rod is dressed up in a brown plaid suit and he RULES! It’s refreshing to see a man without a baseball cap!

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen work hard for the money. The girls have yet another clothing line – this is an affordable sporty collection called Olsenboye – aimed at teens for JC Penny. They’re promoting the new line in a pink ice cream truck that’s parked in a different NYC neighborhood every day. Clothes are both shown and sold from the truck and the money goes to charity. Cute idea. We hope to see the truck on Robertson Blvd.

Leave it to LaToya Jackson to walk around Beverly Hills in a blue satin evening gown. LaToya took her mother Katherine to see “Dancing with the Stars” when they had the Michael Jackson tribute, and they ended up going out to eat at a modest Thai restaurant in Beverly Hills. Other diners were wide-eyed at her apparel.

Amy Winehouse looks very together in this recent photo from London. We don’t know where she’s going but she’s wearing four shirts and what looks like a hospital bracelet. The make up and hair are perfect – in fact her ‘do reminds us a little of Ivana Trump. This is the bet we’ve seen her look in a LONG time….

The nominations for the American Music Awards brought out some noteworthy looks. Paula Abdul seems to be everywhere these days and it looks like she rummaged through her closet and resurrected her 1980’s “Forever Your Girl” look. We could swear we’ve seen that hat and jacket and jewelry before. But she still wears it well. Adam Lambert seems to be trying to finagle a role in one of the “Twilight” movies – he ‘s got the sly vampire look down pat.

Who didn’t have the sense to pull up his pants before he jumped into his SUV? It’s Chris Brown, of course, arriving at LAX. He’s happy because the single he released after his arrest “I Can Transform Ya,” is gradually gaining velocity and moving up the music charts. Judging by his front view, you’d never guess his pants are so saggy.

You’ve gotta give Pamela Anderson some credit here. She showed up at the 6th Annual Hollywood Style Awards dressed like THIS. It looks like a pink sateen bedsheet – definitely NOT Frette – twisted around her and barely held together with safety pins. It was a much needed JOKE at this self-important event. Pam was there to pick up the “worst dressed “ award and she played it to the hilt. At least she has a sense of humor about herself.
