DOES ANGELINA JOLIE KNOW WHAT A FEMINIST IS?

Angelina Jolie identifies as a feminist, but when she got married to Brad Pitt she didn’t have a bridesmaid because she admitted that she didn’t have a single female friend! This week she wrote an ESSAY for Time magazine, oddly titled “Why Girls Deserve Love and Respect on International Women’s Day.” Apparently she thinks that establishing herself as an attentive mother to her daughters illustrates that she is supportive of other women. We have always wondered WHY Angelina has no female friends – we’re guessing it’s because she never TRIED. Can a woman with no female friends really be trusted?

In her peculiar essay Angelina mentioned that two of her daughters have been hospitalized with health problems – above, she brought pillows for Zahara and Shiloh to sit on when they all went to the movies today

TAYLOR SWIFT: LOOK WHAT YOU MADE HER DO

Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift had a massive quantity of balloons delivered to her house today – and for a damn good reason. She has more to celebrate than anyone we know: tonight the Netflix film of her insanely successful Reputation tour premiers – it was the BIGGEST SELLING US TOUR IN HISTORY – keep in mind, this is a female artist in an all-stadium tour with two female opening acts (Camila Cabello and Charli XCX!) As you may know, Reputation was the BEST SELLING ALBUM of the year! Hence the balloons…Let’s hear it for the waspy white girls!

THANK YOU, EMMA STONE

Emma Stone didn’t let a few late Oscar parties keep her from missing her LAX flight out of town this morning. She was last year’s Oscar winning Best Actress and created quite a stir when she presented the Best Director award at the Oscars last night. She said “It is the vision of a director that turns a movie into a work of art – these four men and Greta Gerwig created their own masterpieces this year.” It was a subtle but effective reminder of the constant absence of women the category. Men NEED to be reminded of this as often as possible until changes are made. People on Twitter later criticized Emma for being “dismissive” of the male nominees, but haven’t women in Hollywood (and other places) been dismissed for far too long? Nice work, Emma!

MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ DOES THE RIGHT THING

Thank you, Michelle Rodriguez, for mouthing off at the all-male writing team of the Fast & the Furious franchise and pointing out the lame writing for female characters. Michelle could just be a good little girl and enjoy her increasingly hefty salary but she chose to speak out – and we love her for that. Michelle remarked that she and Jordana Brewster have been filming the movies for 16 years and their characters have never even had an onscreen conversation! She hinted that she might not appear in their next movie, Fast & Furious 9, if the females aren’t given more to do. (They can start by adding female writers to the team!)

Kim Kardashian has done more to push the women’s movement BACKWARD than anyone else on the internet – and she has the gall to consider herself “liberated.” Kim advertises with her nude selfies that sex is the only way for women to get ahead. Looking good is the only thing that matters in her vapid world – not education or achievement. Kim is the anti-Hillary Clinton. Newsflash Kim: You post those nude photos because you love attention and it has NOTHING to do with sexual liberation! And that WAISTCINCHER! It was created to enslave women in the Victorian era while pleasing men! Will you be fitting North with a waist cincher soon? Artificiality seems to run in the family.
