CELEBRATE THE SNITCH AT THE STANDARD HOTEL!

The ONLY downside to the fabulous Jay-Z VS Solange Knowles elevator brawl is the fact that the person who sold the tape to TMZ (for $250,000?) got CAUGHT! We feel awful for this entrepreneurial hotel employee who recognized solid gold when he or she saw it. Without people like this hotel employee, the world would be a much duller place. How much FUN has this tape provided for the general public? And certainly none of the participants suffered career damage or anything else. (Jay-Z remained a gentleman through it all) The tape made the whole Jay-Z Beyonce household a whole lot MORE interesting. We can understand why the Standard Hotel felt obliged to fire the employee, but we hope they will come to their senses and NOT file a lawsuit against the errant employee.

Anger Management Charlie Sheen Fired Selma Blair

AND THE REAL WINNER IS: SELMA BLAIR

When Charlie Sheen started unraveling again and insisted on firing his Anger Management costar Selma Blair, his producers had no choice but to release her. They still owe 50 more episodes to FX and would lose a lot of money if Charlie quit. But don’t feel sorry for Selma – she dodged a bullet. Selma will be paid for her entire contract and won’t have to put up with Charlie every day! Producers didn’t’ make a fuss about paying her in full because she knows SO much dirt on Charlie. So while everybody is walking on eggshells around the Anger Management set for fear of riling up Charlie, Selma is happily playing with her little boy Arthur in the park.

CAN SELMA BLAIR FIND A WAY TO SAVE HER “ANGER MANAGEMENT” JOB?

You can’t help but feel sympathy for Selma Blair who is now the object of Charlie Sheen’s rage. Selma, who costars on the FX sitcom Anger Management with Charlie, foolishly complained to producers about Charlie’s lateness and questionable work ethic. According to TMZ, Charlie heard about it and blew a fuse – how DARE she gripe about the STAR of the show? He wants her FIRED immediately and refuses to work with her. He even raved insanely about hiring Mila Kunis for a million dollars an episode. Poor Selma is in a terrible position. She’s a single mother with a 2 year old son and this is a great job for her. We’ve seen Selma and her little boy Arthur at The Grove and they are friendly and delightful. We hope Selma can patch things up with Charlie.

Ann Curry Excuses Fired Matt Lauer Today

NBC must REALLY be getting worried about the ratings on the Today show because they had the show’s executive producer make excuses for Matt Lauer to The Hollywood Reporter. Not only is the morning show in a ratings slump, but Lauer’s popularity is dimming fast. The unpleasantly handled replacement of Ann Curry by younger Savannah Guthrie caused their problems. Viewers just won’t forgive tyrannical Matt for dumping Ann and humiliating her. Let’s face it, narrow-minded male producers of the show probably think Matt is the GREATEST, and that females are interchangeable! They were shocked by this turn of events! Did it never occur to them that bald stodgy men surrounded by young beauty queens might NOT be what the public wants to see?

We are SO tired of hearing about how Ann Curry is being forced out of NBC’s Today Show because she and Matt Lauer “lack chemistry.” Actually Matt is concerned that ratings have gone down and rival Good Morning America actually beat them for a few days. Matt had to blame SOMEONE didn’t he? We suggest he take a close look at his lame producers who orchestrate absurdly unhealthy cooking segments on the show- loaded with fat and sugar and salt. These are followed by weight loss exercise segments and alarming obesity health warning segments. How do these anchors keep a straight face? While Matt Lauer has a questionable private life, Ann Curry comes across as decent, honest and very likeable. She’s unpretentious and gorgeous without having the hard edge of a beauty contestant. She’s the reason we put up with those inane cooking and cheezy fashion segments on the show. Ann has suffered brutal criticism for no reason and Matt should have addressed the issue like a gentleman and defended her. This whole episode is disgraceful. She’s a scapegoat and we predict Ann will go on to bigger and better things than Matt Lauer. TEAM CURRY all the way!

CHRIS O’DOWD SLAMS SKEEVY MICHAEL BAY AND WINS THE HEARTS OF HOLLYWOOD WOMEN

We were first smitten with Irish actor Chris O’Dowd when we saw him in Bridesmaids. He’s the sweetheart kind of guy that women remember. We like him even better now that he’s standing up for his “Friends With Kids” costar Megan Fox. Megan had a falling out with her Transformers director Michael Bay and was fired for speaking out against his treatment of women. (Note: producer Steven Spielberg was on Bay’s side.) The lascivious foul-mouthed Michael Bay is known for being reverential toward his male stars and sexist and demeaning toward his female actors. So men don’t complain about him. His deafening and plotless disaster movies appeal to sixteen year old boys. Nobody stood up for Megan when she criticized Bay and was fired. Until Chris O’Dowd. Chris thinks Megan was badly treated and RIGHT to complain. Chris agreed that “Bay is an a—hole” and added that he would never watch his films, much less act in them.

Taylor Armstrong has been fired from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – and not a minute too soon. According to Patricia Shipp at The Enquirer, the other “wives” were sick and tired of hearing Taylor whine about her miserable life long BEFORE her miserable husband Russell killed himself. It was turning into a full-time therapy show for Taylor Armstrong. The other women felt she was way too needy and a big downer and producers agreed. Since that may have been her only source of income, Taylor might have to look for a job now.

Desperate Housewives Fired Lawsuit Marc Cherry Nicollette Sheridan

NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN: SO FAR SO GOOD

Nicollette Sheridan is still disgruntled about being “unjustly” fired from “Desperate Housewives” so she’s delighted that the judge has declared that her case will be argued in front of a jury. Many in Hollywood expected that Nicollette’s lawsuit would be thrown out. Perhaps the fact that a former executive on the show backed up Sheridan’s timeline of events gave the case sufficient validity. Nicollette, 47, charges that after an argument with the show’s creator Marc Cherry, she complained to the studio and Cherry retaliated by writing her off the show. Nicollette won’t get her job back, but she might get a nice payday because the studio is expected to settle.

There were many doubters when we wrote back on Feb 2, 2010, that Teri Hatcher’s character was going to be written off “Desperate Housewives.” Teri even denied it because SHE didn’t know it was going to happen. The show’s creator Marc Cherry fired Nicollette Sheridan without a backward glance, and he’s the one behind Teri’s departure. We told you that Marc didn’t think some of his actors were as “grateful” as they should be, and now we know who he was probably referring to. We surmise that when it became evident that Teri was leaving, Felicity Huffman packed her bags in a hurry.

Why is “Jersey Shore” castoff Angelina Pivarnick smiling slyly, and her boyfriend Paul Imperiale smirking? Perhaps because getting dumped by Jersey Shore doesn’t mean you have to stop getting publicity and making money. Angelina was replaced this season by Deena Cortese, basically because the rest of the cast turned on her. Consequently, Angelina is being courted by New York talk shows hoping she’ll spill the beans on the inner workings of Jersey Shore because she has nothing to lose. She’s pictured above outside a NY studio after one such interview.
