NANCY SINATRA’S BOOTS RE MADE FOR MORE THAN WALKIN’

Sharon Stone posted this swinging sixties photo on Instagram to celebrate Nancy Sinatra’s 81st birthday this week. Did you know that another of Nancy’s hit songs, Something Stupid (that she recorded with father Frank in 1967) went on to become the ONLY father-daughter duet ever to hit #1 in the USA…?

THE AWARD FOR LONGEVITY GOES TO NANCY SINATRA SR

Frank Sinatra’s fourth wife Barbara died this week at the age of 90 and we got to thinking about what’s left of his family. Frank’s daughters Nancy Jr and Tina made no mention of Barbara’s passing because, according to Roger Friedman, they never got along. Tina and Nancy always hoped their father would re-marry their mother (his first wife Nancy) and grow old with her, but his marriage to Barbara dashed that dream. Frank’s last marriage did last for 22 years. Most surprising is the fact that Frank’s first wife Nancy is still alive and kicking and in March she celebrated her 100th birthday!

AMY SCHUMER IS THE NEW FRANK SINATRA

Say what you will about “Trainwreck” comic Amy Schumer, she is no cheapskate! Amy and a bunch of friends went to see “Hamilton” in Manhattan and it must have put her in a very good mood. She invited her pals for a drink after the show and their tab was $77. Amy left a $1000 tip! The waitstaff was so excited they posted a photo of the bill on Instagram. This isn’t the first time Amy has tipped big- she recently left another waiter $500 according to his post on Twitter. Frank Sinatra used to carry wads of hundred dollar bills to hand to everyone. In the old days, servers called the tabloids when they got huge tips – and the papers paid them again for the gossip. Now they just post it online.

WHAT IF MARILYN MONROE’S DOG WROTE A MEMOIR?

Somehow we can’t picture Angelina Jolie playing Marilyn Monroe, but she’s got the part in an upcoming movie, according to writer Andrew O’Hagen. He wrote the book “The Life And Opinions Of Maf The Dog, And Of His Friend Marilyn Monroe.” It’s about the last two years in Marilyn’s life, told from the point of view of her Maltese Maf (short for “Mafia”) – the pooch that was given to Monroe by her friend Frank Sinatra. The author says George Clooney will play Sinatra. Maf had an exciting life – he encountered JFK and went with Marilyn to acting classes and restaurants. When Marilyn died, Sinatra’s secretary adopted Maf.
