TIMOTHEE CHALAMET AND KYLIE JENNER: STUDYING THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE

The couple that parlez-vous Francais together stays together – at least that’s what Kylie Jenner is hoping for. Kylie’s romance with Timothée Chalamet is going stronger than ever, and according to a friend, they recently started taking private French lessons. Although he spent summers with his family in France, Timothee is far from fluent, while Kylie only knows a few basic words and phrases. They’re shelling out thousands for a tutor since the lovebirds are planning to spend most of the summer in the South of France.

FRENCH FILM “CUSTODY” IS THE SCARIEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR

During a summer of testosterone-fueled supermovies, it’s almost hard to remember what a really good film looks like. The subtitled French movie Custody is one of the most amazing movie experiences we have ever had. A few weeks ago we saw what was supposed to be a “scarey” movie, “Hereditary,” but it turned out to be silly and a huge disappointment. Custody tells the story of a REAL LIFE situation and THOSE can be far more frightening than monsters or ghosts. This brilliant and subtle movie starts off documenting an ”ordinary” divorcing couple and slooowly builds up to a shocking and unbelievably frightening finale. (It could happen to YOU!) When it was over, the audience was visibly shaken – and many were in tears. Need we say more? (Opens today)

OSCAR WINNER JEAN DUJARDIN IS PRACTICING HIS ENGLISH IN NEW YORK

126159PCN_Jean02cut

Three years ago Jean Dujardin, 42, was the toast of the acting world – he was the FIRST French actor to win a Best Actor Oscar. The movie was a silent one – The >Artist. Ironically his character in the movie struggled when “talkies” replaced silent films, and sound turned out to be Dujardin’s problem in real life. Suddenly the handsome actor was bombarded with Hollywood scripts and he could barely speak or understand a word of English! What WAS he thinking? He should have been taking full time Berlitz English lessons! This was his big break! He’s been accurately described as the “French George Clooney” and could be a huge leading man in the US. He’s still a big deal in France but his Hollywood career has yet to take off. (Above, Jean is in New York checking his messages)

BRADLEY COOPER DESCRIBES “HANGOVER II” IN FRENCH

http://youtu.be/AYwvFU6dcv4

Bradley Cooper actually made “Hangover II” sound like a sophisticated art film when he discussed the movie in French. In an oddly serious interview in France, he analyzed the raucous movie and had his female interviewer mesmerized. How did he become so fluent in the language? Bradley studied French at Georgetown University and lived in France for six months.
