GEORGE CLOONEY CAN’T STOP RAVING ABOUT MARRIED LIFE

Can you think of even ONE celebrity couple that seems to be HAPPIER than George and Amal Clooney? He rhapsodizes about his life in every interview. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that both have jobs that keep them busy. When Summer comes, they always try to spend several weeks together at their Lake Como home in Italy with their 6 year old twins Ella and Alexander. We rarely get a glimpse of the kids, but they DO look awfully cute on this boat at Lake Como this week.

GEORGE CLOONEY HOPES TO RAISE HIS KIDS IN CALIFORNIA

George Clooney and his wife Amal and their twins have been happy living at their villa in Italy, but he really yearns to raise their children in California. George has a sprawling Studio City home he’s owned since the 90’s and he spent a lot of money renovating, but Amal is in no hurry to move in. She dreams of either living in a place like Montecito with ocean views, or a large property in someplace like Hidden Hills with enough land for horses. George’s home has neither. Nothing has been decided about selling or buying, but George has consulted a realtor friend about his options.

JULIA ROBERTS: THE ULTIMATE TRIBUTE TO A FRIEND

Genuine friendships between heterosexual men and women are relatively rare these days, but it’s clear that Julia Roberts and George Clooney have the real thing. Julia was set to talk about award recipient George at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington DC and she connived with her stylist Elizabeth Stewart to have THIS satin gown designed by Jeremy Scott at Moschino. It has framed headshots of George from the very beginning of his career to now, all over it. A brilliant idea from one true friend to another. Julia describes George as “a gentleman and a playmate.

AMAL CLOONEY: SHE DOESN’T LOOK LIKE A LAWYER

Amal Clooney isn’t just waiting around while George films movies. The happy couple are on their way to a party celebrating the premier of his new romantic comedy with Julia Roberts called Ticket to Paradise in London. Besides looking good, the British/Lebanese lawyer has two kids with George, but she is still committed to human rights and has been pushing the UN to act on evidence of war crimes in Ukraine. One of those rare lawyers you can actually be proud of…

THIS GUY USED TO BE GEORGE CLOONEY

We like to reminisce about the original unbearded George Clooney back in the day (actually not so long ago) when he was a handsome man unfettered by facial hair. Luckily, for his wife Amal, George grew this bushy beard for his role in Good Morning, Midnight – in which he plays a scientist alone in the Arctic, who’s trying to make contact with a spacecraft. George is directing himself in the movie, which is not necessarily a good thing because we’ve never liked any of the films he’s directed. But we DO miss that cute smile…

GEORGE AND AMAL CLOONEY: THE PERFECT COUPLE?

We’re always impressed by the way George Clooney speaks about his wife Amal – with total admiration. Of course, she IS a successful and respectable human rights lawyer (one of those rare lawyers you can actually like.) Last year, George was named the highest paid actor, and now he has a 40 million dollar deal to sell Nespresso coffee in ads all over the world. Their two year old twins Ella and Alexander, are bilingual in English and Italian. Not a bad life…

AMAL CLOONEY IS THE REAL-LIFE WONDERWOMAN

Despite the fact that she’s an acclaimed international human rights attorney, Amal Clooney manages to juggle her one and a half year old twins along with her career. Last night George Clooney and his parents were with Amal at a United Nations event in New York where she was honored as 2018 Global Citizen of the Year. (His parents must have been SO impressed.) Today Amal left their hotel carrying Alexander (who resembles George) and Ella (she’s got Amal’s eyes) with no help from a nanny.

GEORGE CLOONEY HAS NO FEMALE FRIENDS

We were as startled as you were to hear that George Clooney gifted thirteen of his male friends with a million dollars in 2013. He invited them all to dinner and gave each one designer luggage filled with $20 bills! An incredible gesture – but let’s analyze this. George said many of his longtime friends –“the boys” -did not achieve the success that he did, so he wanted to relieve their financial worries. Randi Gerber revealed this news – apparently he was among the lucky 13. But he was ALREADY a millionaire, thanks to his entertainment business – bars and lounges worldwide. Were the other recipients really that hard up? MOST IMPORTANT, George didn’t know even ONE WOMAN in his life deserving of such a gift? Really? Not even a loyal publicist or agent? Amal was not in the picture yet, so he didn’t eliminate women because of her. There’s no doubt that George is a nice guy, but this proves that even nice guys don’t help women…

GEORGE CLOONEY TO DONALD TRUMP: I DON’T HAVE A STAR ON HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD!

Suburbicon director George Clooney has observed that Donald Trump seems to enjoy fueling the wars between what he calls “coastal elites who live in a bubble ” and middle America. George doesn’t LIKE being called a “Hollywood elite.” He responded “Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, but Donald Trump DOES have a star on Hollywood Boulevard! Who lives in a bigger bubble?”

GEORGE CLOONEY DIDN’T NEED ANOTHER REASON TO DISLIKE DONALD TRUMP

George Clooney didn’t need the fact that Donald Trump was actually elected President to dislike him. Clooney not only predicted that Trump would lose the election, but HAS been among the loudest of Trump’s critics. He recently told The Hollywood Reporter about his ONLY personal encounter with Donald Trump:
“I was sitting down at a restaurant in New York [several years ago] and he came in and we talked for a while,” he recalls. “I’d had neck surgery, and he said, ‘I’ll give you the name of a doctor,’ and he wrote me a couple of times with the name. Then he went on Larry King Live and told him I was very short. I’m 5-foot-11 — I’m not the tallest actor in the world, but I’m not short. That made me laugh.”
Laugh? We doubt it- both Trump and Clooney seem to have similar masculine flaws, but we’re Team Clooney.
