Jared Leto’s role as a transgender AIDS victim in Dallas Buyers Club has brought him numerous acting nominations and he’s been a regular on red carpets and at film festivals for the past months. Calculate all those black tie events plus his performances with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars and it adds up to one exhausted guy. He has 13 European concert dates before the Oscars. That’s why he stopped shaking hands. He has NO time to get sick, so Jared’s not taking chances with unnecessary touching, observed the Hollywood Reporter.

FAYE DUNAWAY KEEPS THE GERMS AT BAY

We love to write about Faye Dunaway because she’s always up to something. Not long ago she was observed wearing plastic disposable food handling gloves during a visit to Koo Koo Roo for dinner, and also while running errands during the day. So when she turned up and LAX wearing a Michael Jackson style surgical mask, we weren’t all that surprised. But SOME people jumped tp the wrong conclusions. Witnesses thought she might be hiding her face because she had plastic surgery, but our readers know she’s just germ conscious and didn’t want to catch anything on the plane.

Shannen Doherty IS a complicated person. In her Radar magazine interview she admitted to being a germaphobe – “but not on the Howard Hughes freak level.” And she’s very fussy about boyfriends and hygiene. If she meets a hot guy she looks at their nails and asks “Do you shower in the morning or at night?” She has surmised that most guys shower in the morning. Not good. The idea of them going to sleep with all the dirt they’ve accumulated all day turns her OFF. She likes ’em squeaky clean. Hey, she’s got a point there.
