Well, HERE’S a surprise. On Thursday, Dennis Hopper was seen shopping at his neighborhood medical marijuana clinic in Venice, Cal. And he looks darn good for a man supposedly on his deathbed who has been described as “heavily medicated and bedridden!” Since he filed for divorce from his wife Victoria, wild stories have been circulating about what’s going on at his home. Dennis, his two adult children Dennis and Marin, and his wife Victoria and young daughter Galen all live together at Dennis’s compound in Venice. Daughter Marin who managed her father’s personal appearances in the past, is being painted as a troublemaker who is engineering the divorce to keep Victoria from getting the bulk of Dennis’ estate, instead of his older children. Apparently people on Victoria’s side and Marin’s side have been releasing gossip, including saying that Dennis is totally out of it and “has no idea what’s going on.” This photo from Radar online seems to contradict ALL sides. American Idol is a hotbed of gossip since Ellen Degeneres was abruptly hired to replace Paula Abdul. When noteworthy former contestant Constantine Maroulis and Idol judge Kara DioGuardi spotted each other across the catwalk at a New York fashion show, they just HAD to have a chat. Constantine was very curious about Kara’s take on the situation, but Kara seemed far more interested in texting- or is she taking his phone number?

Ashton Kutcher is REALLY disappointed that his Pop Fiction series has failed to ignite. When he set up those fake celebrity “situations” like Avril Lavigne shopping in baby stores, and Mario Lopez having lunch with married Eva Longoria and gifting her with a necklace, Ashton had high hopes that websites and magazines would run big stories declaring that Avril was pregnant and Eva was cheating on her husband. He planned to feature the inaccurate reports on his show and make fun of them. But he couldn’t, because nobody FELL for his silly set-ups. Now he’s stuck with a show that’s not working and isn’t likely to improve. The lesson to be learned is: Don’t underestimate the intelligence of gossip reporters!
