WHY LINDSAY LOHAN’S CAREER STALLED

Anybody wondering why everyone in Hollywood seems to be working steadily these days – except Lindsay Lohan -needs to be reminded of her comments about Harvey Weinstein back in 2017. Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, and Mira Sorvino had just joined 25 other women accusing Weinstein of being a sexual predator. Lindsay jumped to Weinstein’s DEFENSE, insisting that he was being unfairly treated. “I don’t think it’s right what’s going on. He’s never harmed ME or done anything to ME. We’ve done several movies together!”

ADRIAN BRODY AND HIS QUESTIONABLE GIRLFRIEND

Adrian Brody and his girlfriend Georgina Chapman are enjoying their vacation on a yacht in St Tropez. We wonder what his female friends think of Georgina. You will recall she was married to despicable serial sex offender Harvey Weinstein from 2007 until he was accused of crimes against over 80 women in four countries in 2017. He was also famous for forcing his actresses to wear Marchesa dresses on red carpets. Marchesa was Georgina’s company (Harvey was an investor.) Through all this, Georgina maintains that she knew NOTHING about her husband’s revolting activities. Most people – especially women- find that IMPOSSIBLE to believe. (Even I heard many awful stories.) Needless to say, Marchesa is not as “popular” as it used to be- nor is Georgina…

#MeToo Carey Mulligan Harvey Weinstein

HARVEY WEINSTEIN IS GOING TO HATE THIS MOVIE

Carey Mulligan does, indeed, look like a nervous but determined reporter in this shot taken on a NY street. She’s playing New York Times reporter Megan Twohey, who along with Jodi Kantor, wrote the book She Said, detailing their pulitzer prize winning sexual harassment investigation into Harvey Weinstein that sparked the #MeToo movement – and got him a 23 year prison sentence. Megan and Jodi’s book came out around the same time as Ronan Farrow’s book and he got more publicity, but these women started it all. It’s lucky that the New York Times had the courage and the budget to finance this long and convoluted investigation- Weinstein did everything imaginable to stop it. Universal plans to release the film, co-produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B Company, based on the book She Said in November, 2022. We wish someone would investigate what Weinstein’s ex-wife Georgina Chapman (owner of Marchesa fashions) KNEW or didn’t want to know. Did she feel her Marchesa brand (which Harvey promoted) was more important than her husband’s crimes?

GEORGINA CHAPMAN GOT MARCHESA BACK ON THE RED CARPET

Still recovering from her ex-husband Harvey Weinstein’s horrific sexual abuse scandal, (87 women accused him- he’s serving 23 years in prison) Georgina Chapman has been laying low and her fashion line Marchesa has been suffering. Chapman’s business partner quit in 2019 and the label, which was often seen on red carpets, (because Weinstein FORCED actresses to wear it) is now mostly sold to bridesmaids. Chapman claimed to know NOTHING about her husband’s crimes, but few people believe her. She wants to bring her Marchesa label back to life but hasn’t had any luck until she started dating Oscar winner Adrian Brody. HE gets invited to the best events so SHE can show off her latest designs. A match made in….heaven?

#MeToo Harvey Weinstein Rose McGowan

WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ROSE MCGOWAN A JOB?

The woman largely responsible for the #MeToo movement seems to be blackballed in Hollywood for speaking out. Yes, Rose McGowan IS highly opinionated and that might scare a lot of people, but women owe her bigtime for nailing Harvey Weinstein and potentially improving the lives of women in Hollywood now and in the future. Rose admits that she misses performing and feels her career was stolen by Weinstein. She predicted that when she named names, job offers would become scarce, and she was right. Rose (above on the beach in Mexico) still looks great – will someone please give her a decent acting job?

Ashley Judd Badmouth Harvey Weinstein Lawsuit Sex Crimes

FINALLY, SOME JUSTICE FOR ASHLEY JUDD

Nothing makes us happier than to see Ashley Judd get some legal justice where Harvey Weinstein is concerned. She was one of his earliest and bravest victims and filed a lawsuit against him two years ago which was dismissed. Judd charged that Weinstein was angry with her for not being sexually cooperative and badmouthed her to damage her career. We LOVE that director Peter Jackson came forward and said that he wanted to cast Ashley in The Lord of the Rings in 1998, but Weinstein told him she was “a nightmare to work with and should be avoided at all costs.” (Words like that get around. Who knows how many other people he said that to!) He aimed to destroy her career at the peak of her earning years. Weinstein is currently serving 29 years for rape and other sex crimes – let’s add a few more…

HARVEY WEINSTEIN IS GUILTY – LET’S TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT BROTHER BOB!

Harvey Weinstein’s brother Bob is making plans to get back into the movie business and many people – especially women – are wondering – how much did he really KNOW about his brother’s unspeakable behavior? LA Times staff writer Stacy Perman had a very well documented article in today’s Calendar section titled “What Did Bob Weinstein Know?” Turns out, Bob knew a LOT. Interesting that the brothers argued constantly and treated EACH OTHER badly. Also, we were surprised to read that Bob was also an abusive boss and his wife divorced him in 2012 saying she “feared bodily harm.” The main difference between the disgraced Harvey and Bob is that Bob wasn’t accused of rape – he just covered it up. Hopefully Bob will be called in to testify when Harvey goes to court in LA.

Above, Rose McGowan gave Annabella Sciorra a hug at a NYC event two years ago. We ALL owe Annabella a hug! It takes an ENORMOUS amount of courage for a woman in court to detail her rape story about Harvey Weinstein – and afterward, of course, she was at the mercy of Weinstein’s slimey lawyers who dug deep (without success) in her past to find anything negative Annabella has ever said or done to discredit herself.

We happen to be in the middle of reading Ronan Farrow’s new book, Catch and Kill, and we will never look at some people the same way. Among them, Rose McGowan. We honestly didn’t realize how incredibly brave this actress was to stand up to the most powerful man in Hollywood, the vile Harvey Weinstein.
