FATHER AND SON REUNION: NICOLAS CAGE AND WESTON COPPOLA CAGE

For whatever reason, a photo op with Nicolas Cage and his son Weston Coppola Cage is always a delight in some way. They turned up at the premier of Nic’s new film Running with the Devil. Weston seems to have given up that heavy metal goth music for acting and he’s always ready with a smile and a raised eyebrow. He couldn’t be more different from his idiosyncratic dad. Nicolas has been anointed the Most Infamous Hollywood Spender (topping even Johnny Depp) so that’s why he films five or six action movies in remote places every year – he still spends and owes a lot of money.

It’s not often that WOMEN blow huge amounts of money at these clubs – according to employees it’s usually Saudi princes or ostentatious rappers. Kris didn’t flinch at her $20,000 tab! She treats her dates RIGHT.

HEY BIG SPENDER! MARIAH CAREY TRAVELS IN STYLE

Frankly, we were impressed to hear that Mariah Carey reserved the ENTIRE first class cabin on a British Airways flight to the Cannes Film Festival next month. (Cost: $118,000) Apparently Nick Cannon, the twins, nannies, bodyguards, assistants, and MAYBE hairdressers, stylists, makeup artists etc will be along for the ride. The British First Class cabins seem to offer a LOT of privacy with all those separate pods that turn into beds. What fun to have a whole group of friends together in one cabin for the trip! Mariah knows how to LIVE! Nick Cannon will never be able to give this up.

SEAN PUFFY COMBS: EATING HABITS OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS

Sean Puffy Combs loves to spend money so he took 17 extended family members and friends on vacation in Aspen recently. He rented a $35,000 a day 800 acre estate and had a full staff of butlers, housekeepers, chefs, etc round the clock. Every night the group gathered together for expensive glasses of wine and lavish gourmet dinners and the parties lasted late into the night. Chefs were on hand 24/7 to prepare anything a guest wanted. We were amused to hear that every morning at 8:30 AM, Puffy had the same breakfast brought to his room: fried chicken, gravy, and biscuits. Then he rolled over and went back to sleep. Not a bad life.

Tyler Perry’s spending habits are the talk of Atlanta. The incredibly successful film-maker’s movies are non-union, but he keeps buying larger and more extravagant houses – in spite of the fact that he’s single. Our friend The Real Estalker has dubbed him a “real estate size queen.” (And he always seemed like such a modest, down-to-earth guy.) He’s in the process of unloading his 8800 sq ft LA house for 13 million, and his 17,000 sq ft Atlanta mansion for $3,650.000. Tyler bought a 58 acre Atlanta estate (with an 18 hole golf course, a garage for forty cars, and a band shell) and DEMOLISHED the monstrous 36,000 sq ft house so he could build a BIGGER house! (above) What does one man DO in a house the size of Macy’s in New York? Tyler insists God gave him all this because he “believes,” but we think his moviemaking skills had more to do with it.

This handsome Cleveland-born Marine eventually became the host “The Price Is Right.” Yep, it’s Drew Carey, and did you know he made some changes in the rules that Bob Barker set up for the show? Drew allows the models to talk, and he lifted the bans on leather goods, wool coats, and imported cars that Barker initiated. Carey is the perfect game show host because he’s so generous in real life. Recently he had lunch at Kokomo cafe on Beverly, and tipped the server the usual $100.

Brad Pitt that is very character revealing. Our guy was sweating in the hot sun at the Rose Bowl Flea Market attempting to sell two high end Knoll lounge chairs. In the afternoon Brad walked up and gasped when he saw the chairs. “I really wanted a pair of chairs like these but I lost them at an auction – they went for $20,000! He said. How much are you asking for them? The guy replied “Fifteen hundred dollars.” Brad looked surprised “That’s ALL?” and added “Will you take twelve?” The seller was hot and it was late in the day, so he decided to accept the twelve hundred. Brad smiled and handed him a check and the guy almost fainted – the check was for twelve THOUSAND dollars! (We’ve always told you Brad was a good guy.)

Guests were encouraged to talk about the costumes they plan to wear to her “real” Halloween party next month. THAT one is expected to cost around $250,000. And she’s not cheap with the waiters – they get paid around $60 an hour and last year she tipped each one $100.
