ROD STEWART LOVES TO IMITATE ELTON JOHN

Rod Stewart posted this photo of himself onstage at a recent concert and he’s in the middle of doing a not-so-flattering impersonation of Elton John – wearing funny glasses and a loud jacket, pretending to play the piano. It was captioned “Still love you, Elt” We didn’t realize the two singers had a long-running playful “feud.” It started in the 70’s when Rod’s billboards for “Blondes Have More Fun” were all over the place – Elton had billboards put up with own picture that said “But Brunettes Make More Money.” Elton got really annoyed when Rod called Elton’s 2018 Farewell Tour “dishonest- just a way to sell tickets!” He was right – Elton is still touring…

JUSTIN BIEBER’S HAIR IS NOT A CRIME

Here we go again! Justin Bieber is flaunting his version of dreadlocks and undereducated people are actually complaining about “cultural appropriation” – a term we believe should be removed from vocabulary use. Despite the fact that Justin’s dreads are NOT all that flattering or attractive, (he’s no Future) he is obviously NOT making fun of any race. Fact is, he admires the African hairstyle SO much, he’s desperately trying to duplicate it himself. And IMITATION IS THE SINCEREST FORM OF FLATTERY! There is nothing healthier than cultures exchanging styles, habits, dances, recipes… whatever. Adapting good things from other cultures makes the entire world a better place, and it is INEVITABLE in a multicultural society. We’d like to see all those “cultural appropriation” complainers move into the 21st century…

KIM AND CHER: IS IMITATION THE SINCEREST FORM OF FLATTERY?

Kim Kardashian says she has always been a big fan of Cher – and she HAS been known to dress up as Cher on Halloween. Kim was also seen with friends in the audience at Cher’s 2018 concert in Las Vegas. Cher and Kim have also been photographed at some Armenian events. Does all that mean Cher won’t be just a LITTLE irritated by the fact that Kim obviously imitated her perfume ad? Note that both ads are black and white, feature an oversize fragrance bottle, and the same hairstyle. Maybe Cher will take it as a compliment –or maybe not…

JAVIER BARDEM HAS GOT THE MOVES LIKE JAGGER

We love this moment on the Jimmy Kimmel show where Javier Bardem reminisced about the night HE won his Oscar and “ended up at the after-party dancing on a table doing an impersonation of Mick Jagger singing Sympathy for the Devil!” Bardem has that Jagger strut and hand movements down pat…

“MICHAEL JACKSON” SURPRISE APPEARANCE AT CANNES

We can’t take our eyes off this Michael Jackson impersonator, either. He appeared on the red carpet for the Solo: A Star Wars Story screening in Cannes and attracted a lot of attention. But can he sing and dance? We might never know because we couldn’t find out who he is, but we’d love to have him at our next party.

IS JERMAINE MORPHING INTO THE NEW MICHAEL JACKSON?

Jermaine Jacksun (yes, he changed the spelling of his name) seems to be trying to step into his brother Michael’s shoes now that he’s gone. Perhaps motivated by money problems (his book flopped and the brothers’ tour isn’t doing well) Jermaine has been wearing Michael’s trademark black jeans and military jackets – and even losing tons of weight to be slim like Michael. He’s DYING for attention. According to the NY Post, insiders are puzzled by this peculiar turn of events, and figure Jermaine’s huge debts and frustration at not getting a chunk of Michael’s 2 billion dollar estate has something to do with it.

NICOLAS CAGE MOVED TO LAS VEGAS TO FIND SOME PEACE AND QUIET

#nicolascage #janetcharlton

Las Vegas impressionist Gordie Brown must have gulped when he saw Nicolas Cage in the audience one recent night at his show at the Golden Nugget. When he launched into his Cage impersonation, he was relieved because no one laughed louder than Cage himself. Later Nicolas and his wife Alice visited Brown in his dressing room, and the “Leaving Las Vegas” actor told him “You do me better than I do me.” According to Norm Clarke at the Las Vegas Review-Journal, it turns out Nicolas and his family moved to Las Vegas earlier this year from LA “to have a more normal family life.” Interesting place to search for serenity and small town values…
