JAMIE FOXX DRIVES A HARD BARGAIN

We’ve been hearing a lot about Jamie Foxx’s ego lately – apparently he’s very fond of himself and not so easy to deal with. That heightened sense of importance wasn’t so evident when he was discussing Dreamgirls with Oprah Winfrey. He confided to Oprah that he was so hot to be in that movie that he would have done it for NOTHING. When the guys at Disney heard that they couldn’t believe their ears- in actuality, of ALL the movie’s cast – Jamie held out for the most money. They had a terrible time reaching a financial agreement with him. After all that , according to some critics, Jamie “walked through” the part and didn’t give a stand-out performance.

GUILTY AS CHARGED

Jamie Foxx has been found guilty of having questionable taste. Satuday night the Oscar winner and a group of buddies were partying at Xenii,and Karrine Steffans AKA “Superhead” joined them at their table. (She’s the Video Vixen who wrote the detailed book about her sexcapades with celebrities) Jamie seemed to enjoy her attention and she returned to hang with him several times during the evening. Recently Karrine had been keeping company with Bobby Brown, but he’s been in Las Vegas filming his reality show. At closing time (5 AM) Jamie and Karrine left TOGETHER, prompting an observer to shrug “He better watch out or he’ll end up a chapter in her next book!”

TWO REASONS NOT TO SEE MIAMI VICE

What was director Michael Mann THINKING when he decided to have his two good looking leading men decked out with MUSTACHES? (AKA female repellants) Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx are a big draw for women who don’t ordinarily want to see cop shootem-up explosion movies. But what a letdown for us females when BOTH starring actors sport unattractive facial hair! Colin wore a droopy Pancho Villa mustache and Jamie suffered the indignity of a Van Dyck pointy beatnik beard. No thanks, Mr Mann, we’d rather go see “The Devil Wears Prada” again!
