THEIR MUTUAL LOVE OF FASHION BROUGHT JANET AND PARIS JACKSON TOGETHER

And it’s about time. For years Janet Jackson had little or nothing to do with her late brother Michael’s daughter Paris. In fact, the last time they were friendly was at Michael’s funeral. Since then, they have clashed whenever the family got together for a funeral or event. Paris would never talk about it and Janet just kept her distance. It’s doubtful that Paris has ever met Janet’s son. Janet and Paris were both prominently featured during Paris Fashion Week and they couldn’t avoid each other. Janet FINALLY gave in and posted this photo of them together on Instagram. Which is nice…but Janet still doesn’t follow Paris on Instagram (Paris follows HER)

Christin Louboutin Hair! Janet Jackson Louis Vuitton Make up Paris Fashion Week

JANET JACKSON ALWAYS HAS A FRONT ROW SEAT

Janet Jackson had an interesting companion for the Louis Vuitton show in Paris. She and shoe designer Christian Louboutin have actually been to several red carpet events together in the past year. It does NOT look like she’s wearing his boots, however. Janet is wearing a Vuitton silver sequin puffy jacket that isn’t doing her any favors. But again it’s her hair that we take issue with. She deserves better than those two large heavy ponytails. And her makeup is way too vivid for daytime. We know how good she CAN look. When Janet and Christian went inside, SHE sat in the front row and he went to the back.

Hair! Janet Jackson Paris Fashion Week Shoes! Thom Browne

JANET JACKSON IS ENJOYING HER NEWFOUND HEIGHT

Designer Thom Browne (who happens to be one of our unaffordable favorites) is famous for putting men in skirts and women in preppie neckties and he’s attracted all kinds of celebrities – including Janet Jackson. She wore Thom Browne to the Billboard awards and decorated the front row at his Paris show in an immaculately tailored layered outfit with one short sleeve and one long. Note the outrageously high platform heels – 7 or 8 inches- and the oversize “handbag” as big as a suitcase. The only drawback to Janet’s look is the piled high hair- makes her look like a stern matron in a 1960’s orphanage…

JANET JACKSON IS NOT ABOUT TO SHOW SKIN

One more highlight from the Billboard awards- Janet Jackson. She’s been doing a VERY covered up look lately (the opposite of Doja Cat) and she found the right designer to dress her. Thom Browne loves to dress women to look like men, and men to look like women – in a totally elegant way. This custom outfit suits Janet because she is wearing her favorite color and she’s covered very nicely from head to toe. In fact, she put a lot of those underdressed girls to shame…

LOVE this photo of Janet Jackson – it’s the best we’ve seen her look in YEARS! Seems like she was heavily influenced by her ex-husband Wissam Al Mana and she got in the habit of wearing head to toe black layers of clothing and headscarves. In this outfit she looks like she’s her old self and ready to dance again- and she IS. Janet’s rehearsing for her Kentucky Derby show on May 7, Derby Night, at a big stadium in Kentucky with New Edition. It’s about time she got back to work. We would love to see what her five year old son Eissa looks like now- bet he’s adorable…

Janet Jackson Pawn Shop Posh Pawn

JANET JACKSON VISITS THE PAWN SHOP

Janet Jackson will NOT be happy when she finds out that she was secretly photographed in London today visiting a pawnbroker! She was seen alone, carrying a blue velvet box, in and out of Posh Pawn in West London. This is a pawn shop for rich people – it specializes in very expensive, sometimes large, items from diamond watches to Lamborghinis and helicopters. Posh Pawn is also a long running reality TV series in the UK. We wonder what multimillionaire Janet had in that blue box- her ex-husband’s jewelry? We notice that Janet’s street fashion is still very muslim inspired- she wears long black coats over pants and dark head coverings. But now she adds platform sneakers.

JANET JACKSON: WHAT’S THE REAL STORY?

The last few times we saw photos of Janet Jackson she was wearing baggy clothing that resembled a burka, which made sense because her ex-husband is Muslim. But since she’s free of him, we haven’t seen much of her at all. Until this photo of her new haircut popped up. It IS a bit radical as far as haircuts go, but the website Media Takeout also claims that Janet now weighs 300 pounds! THAT might explain the oversized burka-style clothing, but we think MTO is exaggerating. Hopefully, Janet will turn up in a new photo looking like her usual adorable self…

Seems like forever since we’ve seen Janet Jackson out and having a good time. Janet looks adorable in her 1920’s costume for a London charity event called the Gatsby Gala. She’s dressed more like a society matron than a flapper- but she IS a mom now. She probably brought her little boy Eissa, 2, to visit his dad Wissam Al Mana, who lives in the UK.

Rihanna is looking better than ever as she arrives a charity event in New York. Frankly, we have been worried that she would end up like Janet Jackson. Remember when Janet started dating her Arabic billionaire boyfriend Wissam Al Mana, her style gradually started to change. She wore headscarves and flowing clothes. By the time she was married, Janet was wearing large black outfits with black head coverings – like a burka (implying surrender to a male-dominated culture.) It was horrifying. We hope Rihanna’s Saudi sweetheart Hassan Jameel does not influence HER this way…
