Louis Vuitton presented their spring menswear collection in Paris and it’s a whole new world thanks to their new Creative Director- Pharrell Williams. A crowd of celebrities gathered outside and we had to look twice at what we thought was Kim Kardashian in her blonde wig. But it turned out to be Beyonce in LV satin pajamas! There IS a resemblance. On second thought it couldn’t be Kim – she’d NEVER wear such a loose fitting outfit. We located Kim inside (in a tight bodysuit) sitting next to a scary version of Jared Leto. Did he shave his eyebrows off? He’s been looking more and more like a freaked out Jesus…

JARED LETO KNOWS HOW TO PLAY AN ECCENTRIC DESIGNER

The first time Jared Leto met Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld he quipped “One day I have to play you in a movie!” Karl responded “Only you, darling, only you.” Jared proved he wasn’t kidding when he agreed to play the late Lagerfeld in a film about his life this week. Years ago, we were thrilled to be invited for a small dinner at Mr Chow in Beverly Hills for Karl Lagerfeld. That was back when the flamboyant designer was heavier and he wore black silk caftans accessorized with a fan. He proved to be quite entertaining and a friendly dinner companion. In 2001, he lost over 90 pounds so he could fit into slim suits that he accessorized with stiff white collar shirts, black gloves, and the ever-present Diet Coke. So Jared will be going through quite a transformation for the role- much like he did in House of Gucci.

Jared Leto has no shortage of female admirers, but whenever he makes a public appearance (dressed to the nines) he’s always without a plus one. Part time rockstar Jared Leto really thinks about fashion – he has a new and appropriate look for each of his movie premiers. Never adverse to attention, he pulled out the leopard for for the opening of his gruesome film Morbius in Mexico City. In this dark Marvel movie, Jared plays a scientist who tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease and ends up turning into a vampire with special talents. It’s a far cry from his over the top role as a bald businessman in House of Gucci.

JARED LETO: THE RIGHT COMBO OF CONFIDENCE AND ECCENTRICITY

Let’s talk about Jared Leto’s fashion. He definitely looks rockstar pretty here at the London premier of House of Gucci in this teal velvet suit. Note the feminine jewelry and sheer scarf instead of a shirt – and don’t forget the glitter handbag. We predict that Jared will be the next male celebrity to wear a skirt or a dress. He already wears skirts over pants and wore a floor length wraparound “gown” to the Met Gala. He’s definitely experimenting with extending boundaries and Harry Styles’ penchant for women’s clothing might push him over the edge. It’s very odd, but it seems more rappers are wearing skirts than actors. It takes a perfect blend of confidence and eccentricity for a straight guy to be happy in a skirt. Jared has it.

JARED LETO REALLY DOES HAVE A CULT FOLLOWING

Just another Labor Day in Soho with an abundance of characters walking around. Wait – this one looks vaguely familiar! It turns out to be Jared Leto, who is famous both for his acting (Dallas Buyers Club) and his band, Thirty Seconds to Mars. His mask is vaguely reminiscent of Kanye West. Leto’s band has SUCH a cult following (they tour constantly) that he hosted an event where fans of the band paid to be isolated on an island in Croatia for a 3 day music festival featuring yoga and movie screenings. (this was right before Covid) Everyone, including “cult leader” Leto, wore white, and hundreds of devoted “worshippers” took part in the festivities.

JARED LETO AND ANNE HATHAWAY: TOO MUCH TOO SOON?

Jared Leto is looking more normal and handsome than he’s looked for a LONG time, so he must be filming a movie. In fact, he and Anne Hathaway are starring in a limited series for Apple called WeCrashed and it’s a VERY interesting story. It’s the true story of the rise of the wildly successful startup WeWork (the workspace rental company) that was once valued at almost fifty billion dollars, and of course the disastrous and spectacular fall of the doomed enterprise due mostly to the young founder and his co-founder wife. The couple were described as greedy narcissists and party monsters whose crazy self-indulgence was fueled by their rapid business success. Sounds like a pretty juicy story to us…

WHAT HAPPENED TO JARED LETO?

Does anybody remember when Jared Leto was a sexy, good looking guy? It WAS a few years ago, when he was more of an actor than a musician. Recently he seems more interested in touring with his band Thirty Seconds to Mars, than acting, but he HAS been cast to play Andy Warhol in a movie about his life. Since Andy was not much in the looks department, maybe that’s why Jared hasn’t been looking so hot lately. (To put it mildly) Jared posted this photo of himself decked out in Gucci head to toe, and he has never looked worse. From that topknot to the socks and bedroom slippers, Jared has managed to make us forget he was ever a hot commodity.
