CARDI B AND OFFSET: A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN?

Cardi B and Offset have the same taste in jewelry and often wear each other’s diamonds. We are particularly amused by the accessories they wore to Drake’s Super Bowl party. Cardi is flashing a diamond Playboy bunny on her diamond chain because she has been named the first ever Playboy Creative Director and will be contributing to a new platform called CENTERFOLD. Playboy says she is ”the embodiment of the Playboy brand.” Offset, on the other hand, is wearing a diamond Jesus head under his Thom Browne sweater – perhaps because he has been arrested a number of times and served time in prison on gun and drug charges.

HEY, MACHINE GUN KELLY – HOW ABOUT A KISS?

Last October, Angelina Jolie showed up at the premier of The Eternals wearing a gold metal band that connected her lower lip to her chin. It was NOT a dental appliance. No one had seen such a piece of jewelry before and universally wondered if she could speak normally or drink or eat while wearing the thing. Turns out it’s called a custom lip cuff and was made by Nina Berenato, a jeweler in Austin. Machine Gun Kelly was the next to show up in a lip cuff – and his was considerably more extravagant and featured Dolce & Gabbana’s initials. We STILL don’t know if he can talk or eat while wearing this silly thing…but at least it’s removable.

Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-husband Scott Disick, 38, is totally enjoying his romance with 19 year old Amelia Hamlin– certainly he feels like THE MAN IN CHARGE of this affair. Unlike the Kardashians, Amelia’s famous family has not been butting into their relationship. Scott has already taken Amelia to Miami twice for vacations and he knows she loves to shop. In the last two days they have visited two expensive jewelry stores in Miami (what was bought remains a mystery.) On their last trip Scott hired ARMED security guards to escort them to the store – and presumably attract maximum attention. Looks like he is smitten…

KHLOE WANTS TO KNOW WHO TOOK THE JEWELRY – SO DO WE!

Leave it to a Kardashian to claim $250,000 worth of jewelry is MISSING from a house they sold months ago. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom put their house up for sale in November and it was reportedly bought by “Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco. The whole story is VERY fishy. Khloe and Lamar moved OUT. The place has been vacant for a month and various workers have been in and out doing repairs, as well as film crew and staff. There was no forced entry. Khloe supposedly discovered the loss – gold chains and watches (sounds like men’s jewelry) recently when she went to pack up the last of her possessions. But WHY would anyone in their right mind leave jewelry behind when they sell a house and move OUT? Could Lamar have pawned the stuff in a moment of desperation? Is this an insurance scam? According to TMZ, Khloe wants EVERYONE who was in the house to take a lie detector test! Police are wasting their precious time investigating this “crime.” (Above, Once upon a time… Khloe and Lamar were happy)

Excited Brazilians mobbed Lindsay Lohan when she arrived at Sao Paolo Airport. She just finished her stint on Anger Management and E! says she left the set wearing bracelets she wore when filming her scene. Hmmm. Nobody knows if they were a gift or a lift. Lindsay is being paid (six figures) to promote a clothing line in Brazil and we bet she’ll return with plenty of samples…

WHY RYAN SEACREST KISSED JULIANNE HOUGH GOODBYE

Interesting how Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough just announced that they have gone their separate ways so soon (one day) after she claimed she was robbed of $100,000 worth of jewelry he gave her. The valuables were stolen from her car while she was visiting “a friend” at an apartment complex and she’s not sure if she locked the car door. (No sign of forced entry?) There’s more to this than meets the eye. Why would anyone in their right mind drive around with valuable jewelry (possibly visible) in their car and FORGET to lock it? Certainly Ryan must be insulted by her casual attitude toward his gifts. Or maybe he wasn’t happy about whomever Julianne was “visiting.” There are many possibilities and they are all unsavory. We’d love to know what’s been going on between these two.

They have a pricey Sophia Loren collection and she showed up at a recent PR event, looking spiffy – except for those oversize glasses. She has her own eyewear collection to promote also and might be overdoing it a bit by wearing TWO pairs of glasses at the same time.

We’ve all heard the story that Whitney Houston was buried wearing $800,000 worth of jewelry and certainly we wondered WHY her family would do such a thing – AND let the information leak out. Nightmarish visions of grave robbers couldn’t help but dance in our heads. According to recent rumors, the family has decided it’s not practical to have 24 hr guards protecting Whitney’s grave, so they plan to encase her casket in cement to discourage vandals. All this sounds like a good case for cremation, to us.

WHY WE BELIEVE THAT BRAD AND ANGELINA REALLY ARE ENGAGED THIS TIME

After many years of false cover stories on magazines announcing that Brad and Angelina were secretly engaged or even married, it’s finally happened for real. We know it’s true because Brad designed Angelina’s ring and the jeweler he collaborated with verified the news. It’s not the first time Brad has designed jewelry. He also designed his and hers engagement rings for himself and Jennifer Aniston. At that time he worked with the Italian jeweler Damiani, who promptly knocked off his design and sold a less expensive version until Brad sued the company. This time around Brad worked with Beverly Hills jeweler Robert Procop to create an exclusive ring. Procop provides much of the jewelry Angelina wears for special events and advertises that fact.
