JULIAN LENNON DOESN’T WANT TO BE LIKE HIS FATHER

Omigosh – can you believe it! Julian Lennon is 54 years old! And who knew that he’s a best selling author. Evidently Julian inherited some of his father’s whimsical imagination and he’s turned those ideas into books for children. Besides being a musician and photographer, Julian has finished the second book of his best selling trilogy called Heal the Earth. The interactive books are aimed at kids up to 6 years old and when little readers make the right environmental choices, they are praised and rewarded. Usually, authors of children’s books have kids themselves, but Julian has no offspring and has never married. He suspects that his disappointing relationship with his father turned him away from having a family. (Remember John Lennon left almost nothing to Julian in his will.)

SHOCKER: JOHN LENNON WAS A FAN OF RONALD REAGAN!

We were utterly fascinated to learn that when John Lennon died in 1980 he had become a die-hard Ronald Reagan fan! According to Gawker.com, Fred Seaman, who worked for Lennon as his personal assistant for the last two years of his life, revealed in a new documentary that Lennon liked to argue with left-wing radicals who reminded him of his former self. John had met Reagan once and made it clear that if he were an American he would have voted for him. According to the assistant, John had evolved into a very different person in 1979 and 80 than he was back in the 60’s when he promoted love and peace. He was almost embarrassed by his naive and youthful notions. (We have to agree with Lennon, Ronald Reagan wasn’t perfect, but he was closer to perfect than any other politician we’ve known)

Pleasantly eccentric looking Sean Lennon attempts to hail a cab in New York during rush hour– for some reason we imagined him having a car and driver. Sean, 35, formed a record company, Chimera Music, with his model girlfriend, Charlotte Kemp Muhl, 23, and they frequently perform together.

Looks like Sean Lennon is in town for The Grammys. He and his model girlfriend Kemp Muhl partied at the Chateau Marmont – Sean wore a vintage naval jacket and a derby, and Kemp was fascinated by her mechanical monkey toy. She resembles Liv Tyler in this photo.

It’s just nice to see a photo of John Lennon’s two sons, Sean and Julian, together. There have been many rumors that they don’t get along, but both insist they DO, and value each other as brothers. Sean is the son of Yoko Ono and Julian ‘s mother was Lennon’s first wife Cynthia. Julian and Yoko may not be terribly friendly, but it’s good to see the brothers going to a movie together in Cannes.
